@Greenbackd@timmelvin It’s possible I guess, but it’s hard to imagine the little companies being able to outperform the giants in our current economy. And, AI is probably also helping the big boys more than the little ones.
@SaraEisen So, "they" will pay those tariffs out of their profits and still charge US retailers the same price. Doesn't seem likely. Maybe they can get their slave workers to take 25% less money for their labor.
@TheStalwart@matt_levine There is some logic there. If you can buy Trump meme coins or bet on who will score a home run in the 3rd inning, what is the difference in buying shares of your local plumbing shop. At least you might know him personally and could give him grief if he went out of business.
@KellyCNBC If the most compelling use (besides hoping to get rich quickly) is for buying stocks, etc. I don't see what the draw is. Quicker settlement? OK, but unless you are exceeding your day trade limit that doesn't seem important. My account allows me to day trade 3x or 4x of net worth.
@JeromeAdamsMD@SecKennedy These guys don't consider that the Amish had the benefit of everyone else getting vaccinated and virtually eliminating the diseases.
Once again my X search string looking for posts about a few stocks is filled with hundreds of spam posts from new "users" all posting the exact same text. It would be nice if you could filter out "users" with recent create dates.
$RGLS
75% of shares tendered. Deal closes today. I owned this on and off since 2016 and almost broke even after lots of trading before this deal was announced. Had a decent position after all that. Takes patience, but sometimes it pays off.
Several questions from Congress about lack of employees from internal growth of US population. But, perhaps between AI, robotaxis, humanoid robots, etc. we won't really need all these workers. Unemployment might actually rise with these "advances". $TSLA $UBER $NVDA etc.
Hope I don't regret it, but I added another 15% to my $VIR position today at $5.05. Average cost is now $5.30. Surely someday biotech will have a recovery.
