As part of the ongoing capacity-building programme at @RIS_NewDelhi for Bhutanese officials, Session 8 focused on the Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) under the World Trade Organization framework.
The session was delivered by Dr. Suvayan Neogi (@SuvayanNeogi), Consultant, Centre for WTO Studies (@CWS_iift), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (@iift_official) and Alisha Goswami, Consultant, RIS. They engaged the Bhutanese delegation on the core elements and structure of the AoA, including its key pillars and the nature of commitments undertaken by member countries.
The discussion emphasized the importance of a well-calibrated negotiating approach during the WTO accession process, as commitments undertaken at this stage can have long-term implications for policy flexibility in the agriculture sector.
The session highlighted that informed and strategic engagement with the multilateral trading system can help ensure that trade commitments align with national priorities.

Sir, your guidance, humour & passion have left an imprint on us all.
Hereโs to new beginnings, and to the legacy youโve left behind.
Honoured to share this farewell video for @SKSharma_World as he begins a new chapter at RIS.

@excitel_rocks Your customer service is becoming worst. Due to failure of server, two time recharge has done. I have talked to the customer care. They have mentioned that the refund will be done within 5-7 business days. It is almost more than 10 days, I did not get refund.
I am glad that I will be part of the IEA conference on โthe role of agricultural trade in food system transformationโ, which is going to organise by IFPRI, at Ranchi, Jharkhand. @CUTS_CITEE@IFPRI
@UberINSupport I understood your view. Driver has no right to ask why I booked for this destination. If driver did not want to go, either cncl or do not pick trip. After picking trip, he told he would not go. Even he did not cncl after 20 mins. I hope @Uber_India understand my concern. Thanks!
Shameful! Today morning I have booked a cab in Delhi. Driver denied the duty. When I asked him to cancel. Not only he did not cncl, but also he tried to convince with rude behaviour that this is my fault why I booked the cab. He did not cncl even after 20 mins. @Uber_India
