@TexasTrackDad Coach,
The rule governing starting blocks is Rule 161 – Starting Blocks.
Key portion of the rule states (summarized):
Starting blocks must be used in races run entirely in lanes up to and including 400 meters.
This includes 100m, 200m, 400m, and hurdle races. Per USATF
Parents the hundreds of dollars you are paying for a recruiting service could be going towards your kid college fund. There is no reason you should be paying $1100 a month for something you can do for FREE!
Recruiting services are one of the biggest scams I know…..

@c_shimabuku It didn't take a press conference for this announcement.. They posted on the website before the press conference? What did someone have to pick up the kids early? @UHAthletics_AD@UHAthletics
@I_Coach_Speed@uiltexas Similar here in Hawaii. state records are only achieved at the state meet. I was told it comes down to cost. Certifying every meet in a sanctioned, wind legal meet with proper timing, measurement, so ratification would be accepted. I imagine the same for every state.

Coaches/Recruiters Jayden Grevious is one you would love to have in your program. Amazing young man and athlete. Let’s find him a home. Unsigned Senior
@TexasTrackDad@I_Coach_Speed That doesn’t make #1 bigger than the team — it means his capacity is different, so my coaching has to be different. Same standards, same culture… individualized plan.
Treat athletes equitably (what they need to thrive), not identically (what looks “equal” on paper).
@TexasTrackDad@I_Coach_Speed Example from track: I’ve got 3 senior sprinters. We time reps daily. Their goal is to be equal, but I can’t train them the same today. My #1 can handle a higher load/intensity. #2 and #3 can’t “hack” that volume yet without breaking down or losing quality.
