Our collective effort is focused on representing the concerns of FMGs through appropriate channels and constructive engagement with the National Medical Commission and other concerned authorities.

We will continue to work together in a responsible and unified manner to ensure that the voices and legitimate concerns of FMGs are properly heard and addressed.

The COVID-19 pandemic was a global emergency — not a choice made by #FMG Students.

Foreign Medical Graduates should not be punished years later for circumstances created by an Unprecedented Crisis. Online classes during COVID-19 were adopted worldwide as an Emergency measure, not a Violation.

The recent notice unfairly targets FMG students who have already complied with university instructions and completed their training.

When COVID struck, the entire world including medical colleges in India and abroad shifted to online learning. FMGs followed the rules that existed at the time. After 6 years, why are only they being singled out to “compensate”? This feels inconsistent and discriminatory.

We also need stability. Rules changing in short term create unbearable stress on students who are already giving their all to become doctors. FMGs only seek fairness and a consistent policy that treats every future doctor equally. #FairRulesForFMGs

NMC continues to release new & inconsistent guidelines for FMG students—sometimes a 2-year internship, sometimes compensation for online classes. Even after clearing FMGE, internship seats remain scarce. If studying abroad is an accepted pathway, the rules must be stable!
