We're getting pretty tired of waiting for the Merton Cycling&Walking Strategy, which has been plagued by > 1 year of avoidable delays. Should be in consultation now... we've not seen even a draft version of it, and we're getting radio silence from the Council. Unacceptable.

@carlafrancome Indeed, I spent a lovely 10 days in Santiago, Chile in April. Almost all of their streets are tree lined, brought temperature down from 35 to 25 in the shade and looks beautiful.

@jonburkeUK @SaveBGstreets Lived there before and after and the area is so much more vibrant now. The shops and cafes are doing roaring trade which has spread to the wider area. Thousands of cyclist (literally, there's a counter) use the throughput daily plus the surrounding streets have less traffic

@kongbo_en @TennisTV Mine is more embarrassing, I was playing 5 a sides and it went. I shouted 'I've been shot' ad it felt like an air gun pellet hitting me. Got a few laughs, I then googled it and it says it gets like you've been shot! That was a tendon tearing that apparently humans don't need
