@JohnMu@dawnieando@dejanseo I don't understand how Google can be so sure what is and isn't a guest post to automatically nofollow, legitimate natural links.
Please see my comments on this post for the examples: https://t.co/ZaL1GQCcKo)
@methode @aminedahimene @rustybrick@dannysullivan@RyanJones@ajkohn@lilyraynyc That sounds like it could translate to "If a webmaster has made a link nofollow for nonsensical reasons that don't support the web ecosystem (e.g. media sites nofolllowing natural links), Google ignores the directive and treats nofollow as follow?
@JohnMu On the mobile-first indexing best practices, it talks about not using fragment URLs which make perfect sense, but is there any issue with having anchors on a page so certain sections are navigated to using a fragment of the standard URL?
@JohnMu @p3sn @jdevalk I'd argue that if have a page about apples but unpublish it and 301 it to the homepage about fruit in general (if no more relevant subpages available), that's better UX than someone searching for apples and landing on a 404?! More likely to bounce with the latter scenario I feel.

@leptidigital@JohnMu Pretty crazy that one entity is saying "you must have a pop up about cookies etc or you'll get fined". Whilst another is saying "don't have a pop up or you'll lose visibility, traffic and business as a result". Rock | Hardplace.
@JohnMu If Google can identify a web page contains a video (say a YouTube video) are you going be more lenient with 'thin content' if there is very little text on the page because the video does all the talking and provides all the content the page needs?
Bounce rate is one of the most misunderstood metrics in #digitalmarketing. Discover how to use it to your advantage. 💯via @Web_Vibes https://t.co/J8hqLYb2ze
@JohnMu How should we handle our site which has lots of external outbound dofollow links pointing to where we host our images (on another website/cloud). On that note, what about outbound links to social media profiles which are also dofollow. Any advice on that?
@JohnMu@barapchev Maybe it should? A good quality business will spend time and money to make sure things are published to perfection. A poor quality business won't. Surely this should be a factor to help Google weed out the wheat from the chaff. Would you read a print magazine littered with typos?
@JohnMu What's your thoughts on SEO agencies enforcing a notice period so that a client cannot leave (and has to keep paying) for say 3 or 6 months, even if they are not happy with the service being provided?
@buffer Thanks! Is it likely that will always remain that way? Also, will there ever be the possibility to add filters at your end? And to ReBuffer carousel posts?
@Web_Vibes Great question! We do hope one day to make this possible; I think there are a few sharing flow changes in Instagram's app itself we're keeping an eye on to make sure it'll be possible now. Fingers crossed it's feasable 🤞 -Daniel
