Around 1.8 crore voters in Maharashtra are likely to be excluded from the draft electoral roll under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The first draft is scheduled to be published on August 24, with Mumbai expected to record the highest number of deletions at around 30 lakh — nearly 29% of its total voters.

Maharashtra CEO S Chockalingam said 77.77% of Enumeration Forms have been digitised, while 18.46% are uncollectable due to voters being absent, shifted, deceased or duplicated. Citizens have been urged to complete the process within the remaining four days.
