Last month I presented a poster at my first @CogCompNeuro. It was the perfect venue to get inspiration and ideas for future projects as I continue to work with @cognoman5 but now as a PhD student @BSBEIITK1@IITKanpur.
it sounds crazy but a university is the closest thing we have to a monastery. it’s a place where instead of worrying about a bazillion chores of adult life you get to exist in a state where thought can take place
Happy to share a new preprint from my PhD thesis! “A novel framework for expanding RNNs with biophysical detail to solve cognitive tasks” 🧠💻

Sleep on it! 💤 Noise ≠ change, even when anxiety sometimes treats it that way!
Delighted to share @cognoman5 and my preprint!
We show trait anxiety mistakes stochasticity as volatility, while N3 sleep recalibrates adaptive learning under uncertainty:

Grateful to present at the EMBO Neuroscience of Sleep Workshop! Many thanks to @EMBO for the travel grant & this incredible opportunity.
Amazing to connect with sleep scientists worldwide, studying sleep in everything from flies to sea lions, octopuses to reindeer, & beyond!

This would not have been possible without the generous travel grant awarded to me by Emergent Ventures @mercatus! It's such an awesome and inspiring community!

It was a pleasure to welcome Dr Rajiv Bahl, Secretary to Government of India, Department of Health Research and Director General, @ICMRDELHI, yesterday in @IITKanpur.
Faculty members, students & start-ups of IIT Kanpur participated in the meeting to discuss & display the ICMR funded projects & the flagship projects of Gangwal School of Medical Sciences & Technology (GSMST). Dr Bahl appreciated the innovations and discussed the ways of strengthening clinical validation of these innovations in collaboration with ICMR.
Myself along with Prof S Ganesh, Professor Sandeep Verma, Prof A.R. Harish and Prof Amitabha Bandyopadhyay, Prof K Muralidhar and other faculty members, discussed on future possibilities of association and collaboration with ICMR, for strategizing the academics for the Medical school, and Bio design and Bioengineering research & Innovation in IIT Kanpur.

Now is an exciting time to be preparing a new open publishing platform (https://t.co/bKEKhtSTxS). Feels like there's something in the air. We're finally reaching breaking point with big commercial publishers. 🎉
Hoping to start building it in earnest some time this year. 🤞
Super thrilled to interview @leslee_lazar from @cogsiitgn!!
This interview was a beautiful combination of being insightful & fun!
Check out the thread below to know whyy!
