There was a time when Nigeria had no working refinery for decades. I’m starting to understand what this IPO means to many people and why they must own part of it. Celebration is the word. It’s an emotional decision, maybe not really a financial one.
This properly pictures what I’ve been struggling to articulate about Angel investing. At a certain point, it stops becoming a risky asset class to an investor due to power law and compounding coming to play.
Underrated life advice: Just stay in the game. The best things in life are a result of compounding. But you can’t compound if you let yourself get taken out of the game. Whatever storm life throws your way, just roll with it. Adapt. Survive and advance. Always stay in the game.
Sometimes the best business decision is to stop. Not every product, branch, or idea deserves another chance. Kill it and move on.
