We have issued a press statement regarding the proposed development within a designated green zone in Villimalé.
This space is not just land, it is part of our environmental and community wellbeing.
We urge all stakeholders to reconsider.

Today, I had the pleasure of spending a delightful afternoon with a group of wise and passionate young people in Villingili. I was deeply moved by their love for Maldivian culture, traditions, and the natural environment. We firmly believe that development is best achieved when people and nature coexist in harmony, and that life is best lived when tradition and modernity are unified in balance. Thank you for your warm hospitality and for sharing such thought-provoking ideas with me. We come from different cultures, yet our philosophical understanding is completely aligned—and that is the most important foundation for us to move forward together.
To make livable islands we need to cap building heights. Let's learn from Male' and make livable islands. A big no to increase building height limit in Villimale'

What roads of Villimale' are this? There are parts which need to be repaired but our roads are extremely unique, green and can withstand ultra heavy rain with no flooding. So what development is this? This money can be better utilized elsewhere.

India is asking for minimum 15 hectares of land adjacent to Gan Int Airport and Hanimadhoo Airport to be leased for 99 years as their sovereign territory in exchange for a debt waiver. If you vote for @ibusolih he will agree to this. Say NO to him tomorrow!
