You know what would be epic? In the distant future when humans have already long settled and evolved on mars and further, someone out there tracks this starman, launches towards it, and actually brings it down to mars, and turns this whole car setup into a memorial to the one and only @elonmusk. I know he isn't asking for one, nor is he the kind that does things expecting something in return, but I'm sure this is something future humans can do, to remind themselves where we come from, how we used to be, and who pushed civilization to the stars. ✨ 🌌
Do you think humans should do this in the future?
I finally saw the interview of @Gwynne_Shotwell by @MorganLBrennan. One thing stuck with me, not quite in a good way, was the part where interviewer asked "What the future of the company was, beyond one person?", when @elonmusk is no longer able to/available to continue in his current role, and Shotwell's response to that was almost depressing (just my opinion) where she mentioned "We'd survive, but it'd be a 'different' company". WHY? I mean sure, Elon not being there would be a huge void to fill, but the company must be so hyper-focused on its mission, that presence or lack thereof of Elon (or any individual) should not change anything in the company soul itself. This, IMO, is critical to ensure that SpaceX's goal is indeed achieved. Else, I am now worried that the world might end up with yet another Boeing (Remember how that turned out, after the merger?).
@elonmusk, while there is no question about the criticality of your role, you must also ensure that the company stays focused on the mission regardless of your presence. Thank you!
P.S. Absolutely massive respect to everyone I have tagged here, and I mean no disrespect to anybody. I am just a regular person voicing an opinion.
Upcoming releases of FSD will remember your parking preferences, so that the car goes to the right location at your home, office, school drop off, etc.
Destination parking is by far the biggest reason people now intervene with FSD. Critical safety interventions are extremely rare.
@FreddyLA7@NASA@AstroAnnimal Imagine the dude at the immigration counter at airport:
Officer: Purpose of your trip?
Freddy: Visit NASA and get into the actual orion space capsule that went around the moon.
Officer : DA FUK?
Freddy: yes sir officer.
Officer: Suspiciously stamps OK.
This is the coolest thing ever. We’re at NASA getting a tour from astronaut Anne McClain. This is us entering the Orion capsule that flew around the Moon in April.
