Nov. 2021, Washington Post: 'Could long covid unlock clues to chronic fatigue and other poorly understood conditions?'
“This is our best chance to figure out ME/CFS,” Koroshetz said, “with the resources and an army of people.”

@EricTopol@NEJM I did a direct to consumer 30X WGS DNA test but Drs shut you down if you have the temerity to mention it. My Heritage are offering two 2X WGS for 58.00 euro & free postage, first look at it on https://t.co/qOEiWqXghp looks very promising, membership is 23.45 one off payment.
@AChVoice@_TCglobal Well they are not very good at diagnosing it, at least my Drs weren't told me my infertility was unexplained by a Prof of Obs-Gyn at an infertility clinic shortly before getting my 1st bout of Ovarian torsion that GP insisted was a UTI.
The sharpest rises in the proportion of young people claiming disability benefits for ADHD and autism occur in the most affluent areas of England, says Nuffield Report, with a quarter of 16-24 years old now screening positive for ADHD.... Discuss.

At the moment, ADHD is considered something you either have or you don’t. This binary approach to diagnosis has two consequences https://t.co/SWvnDj6LNC
ADHD is not over-diagnosed it should never be diagnosed. The absurd diagnostic criteria; disliking or avoiding homework, fidgeting, not playing quietly etc. medicalise childishness in children. It's how Big Pharma gets to sell amphetamines to kids legally.https://t.co/ASZwRJFQIW
In 2023, the WHO and the UN jointly declared that ‘ECT without consent violates the right to physical and mental integrity and may constitute torture and ill-treatment’. In Scotland, they gave ECT 1,463 times last year on people who refused to have it. https://t.co/750vGUSBKz
🧬 A Common Flower Root Killed More Than 95% of Cancer Cells in 48 Hours
A plant many people see as a simple weed produced a surprising result in a Canadian laboratory.
Researchers at the **University of Windsor** found that dandelion root extract triggered programmed cell death in **more than 95% of colon cancer cells within 48 hours**, while showing little toxicity toward non-cancer cells in the lab.
The mystery is what happens next: **Could this humble flower eventually help inspire a new cancer treatment?**
This was mainly laboratory and animal research—not proof that dandelion root can cure cancer in people. Human effectiveness and safety still need to be established.
