Pizza Maker, Oenophile, Restaurateur, Technologist!

[Jake Williams @MalwareJake]

In today's episode, I sit down with Ariful Huq from @exaforceAI and Patrick McKinney from @turingcom and talk about the AI-powered SOC. Patrick has been an Exaforce customer for years and brings real-world experience to the conversation.

Next two years will see step function increase in compute capacity - as we will be building significantly bigger PODs for training. Can’t wait for our new silicon to start delivering optical connectivity for GPUs - multi-rack PODs at one of the largest hyperscaler a reality!!

[martin_casado @martin_casado]

Mythos appears to be the first class of models trained at scale on Blackwells. Then will be Vera Rubins. Pre-training isn't saturated. RL works. And there is *so much* computing coming online soon.

Buckle your chin strips. It's going to be fucking wild.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@martin_casado Democrats have run the state to the ground and @RoKhanna is one of theirs in their largesse!!

CA has become a broken state over many years because of inaction from the residents/voters. Either vote these fools out or leave the state - I chose the latter!

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@thegrowthcoder @helpnetsecurity @exaforceAI You are absolutely right - ensuring that these models work properly is an issue.

Although, not directly related to this post, there are also a growing list of security issues with the models themselves, especially like information and privacy that folks are actively working on

I am thrilled to share that Exaforce has raised $75M in Series-A funding from @MayfieldFund, @khoslaventures and others. We’re on a mission to 10x the productivity and efficacy of security and operations teams.

Thank you @NavinChaddha, @vkhosla!

🚨 Following up on last week's @LottieFiles npm attack.
I wrote a deep dive on preventing npm supply chain attacks. Here's what we learned: 🧵👇

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@karpathy @theojaffee Mine was the same situation. I wondered if it’s because I didn’t pick the lowest configuration of disk.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@NBTJacklyn @netflix @Apple I believe that Netflix lost my loyalty and of many others customers by deciding to not do what is right for its customers - they want Netflix on Apple Vision. Do what is right for your customers and if you hate Apple, sue them in court for justice!

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@scottdavisCRE @melissasavenko @SMB_Attorney @RL_Holdings The decision to fire [or in this case, smells more like a layoff] lies with the leadership of the company and the HR "yahoos" were most likely forced to do it -- doesn't seem like they even had a choice as nobody else from the sales org / leadership had the backbone to do it!

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@rmaunier @home_assistant @Raspberry_Pi Why does your home need a new device every week, its has the same bug as you :)

[Vivek Ramaswamy @VivekGRamaswamy]

The #1 aspiration for American kids today is to be a YouTuber/Vlogger. The #1 aspiration for kids in China is to be an astronaut. This isn’t our kids’ fault. It’s ours. And we don’t have long to fix it.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@M1Singapore I am not going to waste my time on this - your automated BOT is crap shoot and if you need me to sign up for additional line - please feel free to DM me.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@M1Singapore You really need to get your act together as a company. I am unable to add a new mobile line to an existing plan [on your website], the automated customer support BOT is a mess and there is no way to talk to a human. Even when I setup my first line, it was painful!!

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

Way better choice than any democrat or republic in the running.

[Bill Ackman @BillAckman]

I predict that @VivekGRamaswamy will surpass @Mike_Pence and rapidly approach @GovRonDeSantis in the polls after next month’s debate. I expect he will continue to make rapid progress and will eventually challenge @realDonaldTrump. I think he has reached the tipping point.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@rabois @dyett You are right, the city of SF and the state of CA are epitome of laziness and entitlement, it’s the corruption of officials who don’t want to do their job and the residents who are unwilling to vote them out.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@MorgLiv Time to move out of California! After all this crime - my car got broken-in during COVID [in SF] and nobody in the police department seemed to care! Took 3 hrs to file a police report as I needed a replacement for stolen passport - otherwise, there is no point even asking police

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@eastdakota @Rivian While your story is definitely painful and $RIVN can improve from your learnings - building a car company seems to be a lot more challenging than our typical cyber company :)

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

After a few days of using @GoogleAI Bard in my day to day work, the results seem much better than what I am getting with Bing Chat and ChatGPT

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

@sequoia has published their view of what to expect wrt advances in generative AI. This should lead to significant increases in productivity + economic growth but it will also worsen the economic divide.

[Ankur Singla @asingla77]

BOTs will eat the world!
