On the 3rd anniversary of Imran Khan's imprisonment, a key question is whether this move was helpful to the country. #Pakistan has had some foreign policy successes. But are Pakistanis and the country better off than they were 3 years ago? The answer is clearly no. The economy is in unsustainable peril and the government is desperately searching for financial rescue. #Baluchistan is in full insurgency mode. Pakistan-Administered #Kashmir is wracked with violence. The same is true of #KhyberPakhtunkhwa. Even in foreign policy there are setbacks: relations with #Afghanistan and #India are worse. Overall the situation is dire and a re-set is required. And that must include internal reconciliation.
Educated at Aitchison & Oxford. Became one of the greatest cricketers in the history of the world, lifting the world cup as captain of Pakistan. Established shaukat khanum hospital, one of the biggest charitable projects in the history of Pakistan. Established a quality University NAMAL in a remote district. Started a political party and made it the biggest political party of the country. Became Prime Minister. A life spent working for and representing the country and it's people. Today he completes 3 years in jail. Is he perfect? No. Has he not made mistakes? Of course he has. Can there be a way forward to take Pakistan out of perpetual crises and create the national reconciliation desperately needed without him? Absolutely Not! Time to move on and stop this endless cycle of intrigue and revenge. Free @ImranKhanPTI and let him play a role for national healing and cohesion that only he can play. Not for his sake but for the sake of Pakistan and most importantly for the future of the more than 150 million youth of Pakistan
DG ISPR has stated that the definition of hard country is a country governed by constitution and laws which applies equally to all citizens. Happy to hear that he has also, like the vast majority, come to this conclusion. The world came up with a governance design to achieve this as far back as the 18th century. First outlined by Montesque and then enshrined in the US constitution. 3 separate branches of power. Legislature, Executive and Judiciary. Each having powers in their own domain and none with power to interfere in others. Are we ready to do that? Is our parliament elected on the bases of the will of the people and free to make laws? Is our Judiciary free to dispense justice? Is our Executive, civil and military, willing to stay within the constitutional bounds defined for them in the constitution? When the answer to these questions will be yes, Pakistan will be a country governed by a constitution and laws will apply equally to every citizen and institution...which is the desire of the entire nation, and now echoed by the DG ISPR. Let's go now from aspiration to making it happen.
Signing Abraham Accord while Israel continues it's #GazaGenocide, expands occupation in west bank & Lebanon and threatens the whole region with it's aggression, will not only be immoral but also a monumental strategic blunder. Throwing Israel a lifeline as it sinks in global opinion will be tying your rope to a sinking ship. @PressTV no recognition of Israel without a two state solution and an independent Palestine based on pre 1967 borders
A MIT student told me he learns any new subject using a framework a self-taught Victorian mathematician published in 1854.
Most people have never heard of it outside of computer science.
He applies it to everything. Economics. Biology. History. Law.
And it's the fastest way to actually understand a subject I've ever seen.
The mathematician was George Boole. The book was called The Laws of Thought.
Boole's core idea was simple and radical. Every complex system, no matter how messy it looks on the surface, can be broken down into a set of basic relationships that are either true or false.
You don't need to understand everything at once. You need to find the fundamental propositions the whole system is built on, and then trace the logic forward from there.
He built it to map how the human mind actually reasons. MIT uses it to build computer chips. This student uses it to learn anything in a fraction of the time.
Here's exactly what he does.
Before touching any course material, he opens Claude and runs one prompt.
"What are the 5 foundational propositions of this subject? Not facts, not definitions. The statements that, if true, make everything else in this field follow logically."
That question is doing something most students never force themselves to do. It finds the load-bearing walls of the subject before you walk into the building.
Then he runs the second prompt.
"For each of these propositions, what is the one piece of evidence that would destroy it? What would have to be true for this entire framework to be wrong?"
Boole's insight was that a proposition you can't falsify isn't really a proposition at all. It's just a belief dressed up as knowledge. This prompt separates the two instantly.
The third prompt is the one that makes it unfair.
"Now show me how these five propositions connect to each other. Which ones are assumptions? Which ones are conclusions? Which ones are in tension?"
By the time he finishes those three prompts he doesn't have a summary of the subject. He has a map of how it thinks.
His classmates spend the semester adding details to a picture they never drew. He drew the picture before week one and spends the semester filling it in.
Boole published this framework 171 years ago.
It runs every computer on earth.
And almost no one uses it to learn.
Elon Musk just confirmed the most INSANE IPO in history.
SpaceX is going public in 2026.
$1.5 TRILLION valuation. Raising $30+ billion.
That's the biggest IPO ever made. Beating Saudi Aramco's $29 billion record from 2019.
But here's what everyone's missing:
This isn't about space tourism or Mars missions.
Elon is literally about to win the entire AI race.
And 99% of people have no idea how...
Here's the problem killing every AI company right now:
POWER.
Oracle just reported earnings.
They burned through $12 BILLION in one quarter building data centers.
Their free cash flow? NEGATIVE $10 billion.
Revenue missed estimates. Stock crashed 11%.
Microsoft, Amazon, Google all scrambling to find enough electricity for AI training.
The brutal math:
The US generates 490 gigawatts of total power.
AI is projected to need 123 gigawatts by 2035.
That's a QUARTER of the entire electrical grid. Just for artificial intelligence.
Goldman Sachs says AI energy demand could jump 165% by 2030.
There is literally not enough power on Earth to run AI at the scale these companies are promising.
Every data center needs massive cooling systems. Billions of gallons of water per year. Insane energy costs.
And the infrastructure can't keep up.
Elon's solution?
Stop building on Earth entirely.
SpaceX is building data centers in SPACE.
Not a concept. Not 10 years out. Literally starting in 2026.
They're upgrading Starlink V3 satellites to carry AI computing chips.
Each satellite gets 24/7 solar power. No clouds. No night. No weather disruptions. No grid bottlenecks.
And the insane part is that Starship can deliver 300 to 500 gigawatts of solar-powered AI satellites into orbit every single year.
At 300 gigawatts per year, the AI computing power in space would exceed the entire U.S. economy's total electricity consumption within two years.
Just from satellites. Processing in orbit.
While Oracle is begging banks for loans to finish data centers and OpenAI is stuck in circular funding arrangements with Microsoft, Elon already owns everything:
The rockets. The satellites. The launch infrastructure. The AI company (xAI).
He doesn't need to ask utilities for permission.
Doesn't need grid approvals from local governments.
Doesn't need to build nuclear plants or wait for clean energy.
He just launches.
And everyone else is scrambling to catch up:
Jeff Bezos sees it. Blue Origin announced they're building their own orbital data centers.
Google just launched "Project Suncatcher" with plans to deploy AI satellites by 2027.
Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, literally BOUGHT an entire rocket company (Relativity Space) just to compete in this space.
But they're all 3+ years behind Elon.
SpaceX already has 6,000+ Starlink satellites in orbit. The infrastructure is built.
The $30 billion from the IPO?
Going straight into scaling orbital compute.
SpaceX revenue is jumping from $15 billion in 2025 to $24 billion in 2026.
Most of that from Starlink. Now add space-based AI infrastructure on top.
Here's why this matters:
Whoever controls orbital computing controls the AI revolution.
And there's only ONE company on Earth with fully reusable rockets that can launch at the scale required.
Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, called space data centers "a dream."
Translation: Nvidia is screwed if Elon actually pulls this off.
Because if SpaceX succeeds, every AI company on the planet becomes Elon's customer.
OpenAI needs compute? Running on SpaceX satellites.
Google needs more capacity? Renting orbital infrastructure.
Microsoft needs power? Paying SpaceX for launch and compute access.
Elon won't just be in the AI race.
He'll own the entire track everyone else is running on.
The $1.5 trillion valuation sounds crazy until you realize what he's actually building.
It's not a rocket company. It's the infrastructure layer for the next 50 years of computing.
People calling it overvalued have no idea what's coming.
IMF adds 11 new conditionalities. Demanding accountability of civil servants, stronger anti corruption measures, breaking elite capture of sugar industry & other measures. Most of the conditionalities are good for Pakistan. Should have been done without waiting for IMF demand.
Richest 1% Pakistani's own 10 times more wealth than bottom 50% combined!!! (world inequality report 2026) This is why youth with awareness provided by access to social media are angry with the existing system of injustice & inequality and demanding change
Real world asset tokenization agreement worth $2bn signed between GOP and Binance. What process was used to select Binance? It is neither a major player in asset tokenization globally nor carries a high level of credibility for this task. Were the leading global players in asset tokenization like Blackrock, UBS, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, HSBC etc invited to participate? This is Pakistan's entry into digital tokenization and the first transaction will establish credibility and long term success. Essential that decision making is done thru a transparent process
Grateful to be nearly finished drafting the PAKISTAN DEMOCRACY ACT. The bill:
- Sets down that it is US policy to restore democracy in Pakistan
- Mandates a 30-day determination of sanctions on Asim Munir
- Reviews all generals & gov officials & their families for sanctions
In 1983, Ritz-Carlton did the unthinkable:
They gave every employee the power to spend $2000 without approval.
Most thought this was a HUGE risk.
But 40 years later, this one rule has revolutionized luxury hospitality forever.
Here's the story behind the famous $2000 rule🧵:
I'm honored to have won a WGA Award for Outstanding Writing for my feature on Hamas' view of the Gaza war 6 months after Oct 7 — a beast of reporting + writing made possible by my incredible colleagues @HuffPost 🙏🏽🧿
Here's to more journalistic ambition & to solidarity, forever.
@HuffPost I'm beyond grateful to @gzornick@LPonrecord & many other champions of my work (including my pal @letsgomathias, who accepted the award in my stead as I'm overseas on book leave).

An extraordinary article again from the BBC about Gaza babies dying. Babies freeze to death and somehow the cause is just absent including how Israel restricts fuel and electricity. https://t.co/Yzl6iqNIip

• Why @USAID funded Election Commission of Pakistan @ECP_Pakistan? @DOGE
• An NGO led by Pakistani Senator @sherryrehman has received half a million dollars in U.S. aid to promote “democratic values.” The U.S. taxpayers’ money allocated for such projects appeared to exist only on papers.
• Michelle Obama had given $70m to @MaryamNSharif to enhance education for females in Pakistan. Under which capacity Maryam Nawaz had signed the agreement with the US First Lady? The former prime minister’s daughter did so without holding any public office. @USAID@DOGE
U.S. taxpayers' money shouldn't be used to destabilize democracies and influence election results in other countries.
American citizens themselves are struggling with rising costs of living and inflation, jobs, mortgage rates etc and Baiden administration is spending taxpayers money backing fascist regimes.
@realDonaldTrump administration needs to review the insane policies of the Biden @POTUS administration backing the fascist regime in #Pakistan.
