@levie@tobi@Suhail The reason FTX was ignored for so long wasn't that there weren't enough people being critical of tech, but because the people doing it were crap at it, focusing for example on shallow political issues instead of a giant fraud happening right under their noses.
@WallStreetSilv@kevinolearytv@SBF_FTX I think most of that $5 million goes to taxes on the $15 million he was paid. But I agree that he should contribute the entire $15 million to the true victims.
I don't understand how @kevinolearytv can claim to have lost $15 million in #FTX, when the entire $15 million was given to him by @SBF_FTX to pump FTX. Kevin's only loss is to his reputation. A lot of people who aren't nearly as rich lost hard-earned money due to his endorsement.
Sam used stolen & counterfeit money to corrupt the establishment & undermine #bitcoin. This is just the tip of the iceberg. How many other journalists, academics, money managers, politicians, charities, influencers, & lobbyists did he corrupt or co-opt?

Axios reports that The Block has received over $27M in funding from Sam/FTX including financing for a $16M apartment in Albany for Block CEO Michael McCaffrey.

Allegedly, Sam Bankman-Fried has been secretly funneling money to @TheBlock__ CEO Michael McCaffrey for over a year. $27M was reportedly funneled into The Block without the newsroom’s knowledge in addition to a $16M loan which McCaffrey used, in part, to buy a Bahamas apartment.
The idea that the CEO of the Block has been bribed massively, that the company has been de facto wholly owned by SBF for years now, yet the underlying reporting was solid, is mindboggling.
SBF was solo source for many of their "scoops." He ran the entire editorial direction.
