This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received a bipartisan United States Congressional Delegation led by Representative Brett Guthrie @RepGuthrie, Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Their discussions focused on Rwanda’s transformation journey, as well as ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including health, energy, and investment.

The delegation included Representatives Troy Carter @RepTroyCarter, Morgan Griffith @RepMGriffith, Russ Fulcher @RepRussFulcher, Jay Obernolte @JayObernolte, Cliff Bentz @RepBentz, Craig Goldman @RepCraigGoldman, and Julie Fedorchak @RepFedorchak.

This afternoon at Intare Arena, President Kagame, Chairman of @rpfinkotanyi, met with Senior Cadres of the RPF for discussions on the Party’s history and its role in Rwanda’s transformation. The meeting emphasized the importance of members upholding the Party’s values, including people-centered governance and accountability, to advance the Party’s mission of Rwanda’s continued development.

@mikesebs , ambassadeur du Rwanda en Guinée, a rencontré la Direction Générale du Contrôle des Marchés Publics (DGCMP).

La délégation a échangé avec le Directeur Général, M. Mamy Traoré, afin d’examiner les progrès réalisés dans la mise en œuvre du projet TELEMO, la plateforme numérique de gestion des marchés publics, d’évaluer son impact opérationnel depuis son lancement et d’aborder les principaux défis liés à sa mise en œuvre.

Cette rencontre a réaffirmé l’engagement des parties à renforcer la transformation numérique et à améliorer les systèmes de gestion des marchés publics à travers une coopération continue.

Hi Cameron, Rwanda is the wrong example to use to defend the ICC. We have consistently opposed the ICC as a selective, unaccountable institution which has been used to target Africans disproportionately. Post-genocide Rwanda established Gacaca, a home-grown system of justice and reconciliation, which completed nearly two million cases in ten years, at modest cost, while establishing truth, accountability and a basis for communities to live together again.

Gacaca was pivotal to Rwanda’s recovery, progress and stability. A distant, biased court such as the ICC could never have delivered justice and reconciliation on that scale—not in our lifetime.

This evening at Amahoro Stadium, President Kagame attended the opening match day of the #CECAFAKagameCup2026, where Kenya's Gor Mahia F.C. @OfficialGMFC won against Rwanda's APR F.C. @aprfcofficial. Today's Group A fixtures marked the start of the 15-day regional tournament, which brings together 12 leading teams from 9 countries across the region. This marks the tournament's return to Rwanda for the first time since 2019.
