In this study, Rogers et al. use high-resolution genomic assays to comprehensively examine how Notch activates transcription of its target genes, showing that Notch releases paused RNA polymerase II from SWI/SNF-primed promoters.

Thank you to co-authors Kavya, @geoffmnelson@hdzomer, Debarun, Irene, Reza, Huanyu, @AdelmanLab and Prabu for a great collaboration of transcription and development expertise!
One cross-country move and COVID-induced delay later, I'm excited to be starting my postdoc in the Glaunsinger lab at @UCBerkeley where I'll study herpesviral late gene expression! Looking forward to getting involved in the Bay Area scientific community!
I am excited to share our new preprint! We comprehensively analyze gene expression in male germ cells to reveal transcriptional pausing is required for murine spermatogenesis. Thanks and congrats to my co-authors @hdzomer@geoffmnelson@AdelmanLab, Irene, Debarun, and Prabu!!
Huge congrats to Claudia on her incredible story on U1 and RNAPII elongation rate being published! It's been so much fun watching it develop over the last few years. Be sure to check out her Tweetorial and paper!
So excited to share that my thesis work is out now at @MolecularCell! Karen @AdelmanLab and I show that U1 snRNP increases RNA Pol II elongation rate within AT-rich introns, thereby reducing the likelihood of Pol II termination or arrest. Highlights below! https://t.co/HCi5cmVVpX
Excited to share the last part of my PhD work, where we track co-receptor signaling dynamics during B cell activation! Great collaboration with @KalocsayMarian https://t.co/kYldzJb2Nk
🚨For my brand new lab in Utrecht (@UUBeta), I'm recruiting a Research Technician for 8 months! 🚨

I deeply care about the development and success of the people in my lab, and think this can be a great training opportunity.
Congrats to my colleagues (particularly Ben and Eileen) on this incredible work! Tons to think about in terms of chromatin, transcription, and their connections to cancer biology.
So excited to see my postdoc work out in the world! Here we show that EP400/TIP60 can broadly compensate for loss of SWI/SNF activity at promoters. See below for a short(ish) thread on our work (1/X):

I'm excited to share our work published in @NatureComms developing computational methods that score antibody fragment polyreactivity based on sequences alone. This was a joint collaboration between the Kruse, @deboramarks, and @chang_c_liu labs.

Thrilled to see the last few bits of data from my doctoral work now out @Nature, right in time for Thanksgiving !! Thanks to @leonie_uhl & @Daniel_Solvie for sharing the lead on this :) We found out how cancer cells use MYC to deal with the stressful tumor environment.Thread:
So excited to see my thesis work out in the wild! Here we show that the Integrator complex can terminate early transcription at all RNA Pol 2 (RNAPII)-transcribed loci. A brief thread with highlights: (1/8)

Working on this project was really rewarding and was only possible due to @camimoso, @AFieldNote, Chen, Kai, @Wagnerlab_RNA, and everyone else who helped along the way. Of course, the biggest thanks goes to the incomparable Karen @AdelmanLab for her support (and patience)! (8/8)
In sum, we now think of Integrator as a complex that governs the global balance between RNAPII pause release and premature termination, which affects all RNAPII-transcribed loci in the same way. (7/8)
