@raja_appuswamy It’s a very well written hypothesis. The part where I’m sceptical about is the viral passage within the lung tissues of just 6 miners is enough to make enough mutations for ace and furin compatibility. SARS-CoV-2 doesn’t show that level of mutability even at the pandemic stage.

In summary, the project will sequence at least 2500 COVID-19 positive samples in Ireland & make data publicly available. An undertaking of #IrishCoronavirusSequencingConsortium led by prof @pauldcotter, funded by @scienceirel & supported by @Helixworks
