@Unseen_Archive@UMich Yes you did. You took a moment reserved for students and drew attention to yourself. And despite two emails from me, you still hide and don’t reply. Maybe you will this way, because I know how much more you prefer the spotlight in public.
I stand with my friend and colleague @rhalber. He was unfairly denigrated by @VanHollenForMD for standing up for Israelis targeted on 10/7 and who are still under siege. Calling for empathy and rejecting hate deserves support, not a verbal attack by a U.S. Senator.
Yesterday a sitting senator attacked my colleague, @rhalber, the head of @JCRCgw. Labeling American Jews as 'apologists' just because you disagree with them & their (our) attachment to the Israeli people is unacceptable. @VanHollenForMD should apologize.
In late 1999, I asked former Israeli Prime Minister and peacenik, Shimon Peres, what would happen if Iran produced a nuclear weapon?
He said “Iran must never be allowed to do so, no matter what the cost.”
His words still ring true 26 years later.
May G-d protect 🇺🇸 and 🇮🇱.
🧵1/Shocking report from @DePaulU on "Threats to Safety & Disruption of Campus Operations." We warned this encampment was home to harassment, intimidation, vandalism & antisemitism. The report underscores the threats & impact were worse than we thought. https://t.co/Q3eIYJuhRc
Some student protesters left their mark on Chicago City Hall today. Disgusting. Disappointingly, nothing from @ChicagoMayor or @ChiPubSchools denouncing it.
@Suntimes: "The resolution does not constructively advocate for ongoing diplomatic efforts toward a pause in fighting that would include Hamas releasing hostages, humanitarian assistance and respite for Gazans," write our @dgoldenb5 and @chicagojcrc. https://t.co/f1UBwk6l5O
Let’s be clear: The overwhelming majority of American Jews - almost 9 out of 10 - do not support an unconditional ceasefire. Let’s not forget there was a ceasefire on Oct 6 before Hamas committed the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

A @UMich protest left the Admin Bldg damaged & two law enforcement officers injured. We share concerns many have expressed about Jewish community safety. Violence does nothing to bring peace and worsens an already difficult situation. https://t.co/ta12C7oU9N
This morning, members of the IL legislature met with Israeli families of the 10/7 Hamas terror attacks.
We saw horrific video of Hamas’ murders that I will never be able to forget.
Hamas must immediately give humanitarian access to the @RedCross and release all hostages. 🇮🇱 🇺🇸
As her father, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan said, "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts."
Thank you to Maura Moynihan for stating the fact that CUNY has not done enough to fight antisemitism.
Your father would be proud.
