@ANNELAMOTT Check out @walkthewalk_usa , a 100% volunteer organization. They raise money and donate their time/skills to BIPOC led grassroots organizations that GOTV.
They support these organization’s core missions longterm, instead of helicoptering in just before elections.
@jack Well done. Please consider donating to @OpenMedF. They fund collaborative research to find treatments and diagnostic markers for ME/CFS, Long COVID and related diseases. Research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis has been woefully underfunded for decades, please help! #MECFS
@NeleHelena I don’t know if you saw the recently published paper discussed in this article. This discovery could be a breakthrough 🤞

Some chronic illnesses have been linked to prior infectious disease, but more research is needed to better understand these associations.
Hear stakeholders discuss developing a common research agenda for these illnesses at our June 29 – 30 workshop: https://t.co/dlhu3BFBzC
@Papatasso33 @grandedameuk My father began his gradual descent into ME/CFS after getting the vaccine for Yellow Fever. He has chronic activation of CMV and a couple of enteroviruses. I developed ME/CFS after a virus of some kind and I intermittently have high levels of EBV and HHV6 antibodies.
@Papatasso33 @grandedameuk Vaccine injury doesn’t exclude the possibility of viral persistence. Challenges to your immune system can make your body unable to keep your dormant viruses dormant :(
@MarieThereseBka 3rd MD: “You are too young to be as sick as you say you are.”
Physical Therapist: “I hesitate to say this, but your tissue feels “fearful.””
@MarieThereseBka MD: “I’ve worked with patients like you, it turns out they haven’t healed a deep psychological wound.”
2nd MD: “If you can preform a task one day, then you will be able to do it the next day too.” Also “You must exercise your way out of POTS, there is no other way to resolve it.”
