@GESTALT_sp@10xGenomics I'm working with postxenium IF imgs that I've aligned in xeniumexplorer. Is there a way to apply the transformation matrix to the postxenium img so I can load the img and xenium ROIs into qupath? I want to use a classifier to identify +/- cells!
I'm very excited to share my first postdoc preprint with
@BoyiGuo and @stephaniehicks!
Here we preset SpotSweeper - the first spatially-aware quality control methods developed for spatial transcriptomics. 🧵

@CalebLareau@tsion_abay@MerilTakizawa @ChaligneRonan @Satpathology Perfect, love the idea of a dirty sort. This is gonna be a game changer for neuroscience for sure. Can’t wait to try sorting out activated neurons without viral strategies or genetic mouse models
Fantastic new article from the @ClemmensenC lab! Here, the authors show that the compensatory response that counteracts weight gain and overfeeding is preserved in #obesity. @Metabolcenter

@the_tessallator This is super cool. Do you have any thoughts on adapting this approach to quantify the similarity between cell-types responding to a single perturbation (as opposed to the opposite shown here)?
@Matthew_N_B We've also been giving a lot of thought to this approach lately. I recently came across this paper which I think nicely handles binarized single cell data: https://t.co/qEyL5YM9f9
The time of day that we eat has significant impact on body weight and metabolic health but what determines those mealtimes? In a new study @NatureNeuro, we monitored daily oscillations in the activity of key hypothalamic hunger neurons expressing AgRP. ++ https://t.co/v9eBTt2Aqy
@ChenLiuLab@STARProtocols Great! Looking forward to the story. Have been wondering what cells we are actually labeling when crossing pomc-cre mice! I can imagine it will be an exciting one with this level of attention to detail!

We’re thrilled to share our preprint (collab with @marionilab) in which we use human POMC neurons to identify potential anti-obesity drugs, one of which seems to increase the efficacy of Semaglutide (Ozempic). Details on BioRxiv: https://t.co/lkdYYhFDq7. Thread below 🧵(1/16)
Super excited to finally share this preprint from a collaboration with Marta Soden here at UW! We combined optogenetics with snRNAseq to reveal input- and cell-type-specific activation patterns in the VTA 👇
