Everytime I see videos of Orangutans struggling to walk across the barren wastelands that were once lush forests teeming with life, I feel like my chest gets hollowed out.
This is what human greed and overconsumtpion are doing to these beautiful animals and this planet.
During my trip back home in Eritrea, I had the great opportunity to do archival research. The organizational excellence of Shaebia extends to today’s political strategy. Much more to learn!
Urgent Call |🇪🇷:
Let us help save art teacher and father, Tesfalem Atenaw, from blood cancer
Detailed Text:
Dear compassionate friends and community,
We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friend, Tesfalem Atenaw. Tesfalem is a dedicated visual artist and a loving father of four children. He lived and worked in Eritrea for over 15 years as a fine arts instructor, well-known for teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the growth of the art community through numerous solo and group exhibitions. Currently, he is in Ethiopia, bravely fighting a dangerous form of blood cancer (Leukemia).
Thanks to your previous generosity, his health had shown some improvement. However, the previous GoFundMe campaign took too much time to process and was ultimately closed before the funds could be used to send him to India. Because of this unexpected delay and his rapidly declining health, we are forced to urgently launch this campaign once again.
Tesfalem recently received heartbreaking news from his latest medical examinations: the medication he was taking has completely stopped working. The illness has returned with aggressive force, and his doctors have stated that he must urgently travel to India to undergo a life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant.
As a dedicated father, Tesfalem’s ultimate dream is to see his four innocent children grow up and receive a proper education. Under God's grace, we humbly implore you to support him with whatever capacity you have to help save his life.
May the Lord God reward your kindness and bless you with good health.
Thank you.

the west cannot comprehend martyrdom because their civilisation is organized around comfort and consumption. to them dying for liberation seems irrational because they have never loved anything more than individual survival.
Quand t'entends l'humanité des discours des communistes du 20eme siècle, tu comprends pourquoi les capitalistes ont eu besoin de les repeindre en dictateurs sanguinaires pour les discréditer.
There’s comes a certain point in one’s life where all propaganda about the DPRK just sounds comically ridiculous and you have to sit there wondering what kind of idiot believes it.
