YC was incredible, as @garrytan said, "YC is the YC for Space Tech".
Pele Collins and I are getting back to building!
Thanks so much for all the support @sdianahu and @vivianmshen
Will be sharing more soon....๐
Thanks so much for the shoutout @TechCrunch : https://t.co/Jxc4mgxH4c
We are so excited that our mission resonated with so many at Demo Day and everyone who "chased" us down to learn more at our booth.
We are building the key infrastructure necessary for expansive growth in space by focusing on deployable solar arrays to unlock power bottlenecks.
I got to chat with my good friend @anu_bonth, who is a veteran in Space mechanisms and deployable designs, to share @beyondreachlabs vision for large infrastructure in Space, unlocking the exponentially growing power demands.
Launch mass to orbit has improved a lot. But we are still volume-limited.
That matters because the next generation of space infrastructure will not fit neatly inside a fairing. We need structures that can stow into a tight package, survive launch, deploy reliably on orbit, and then become stiff enough to actually be useful.
That is why I was so excited to come across what Mitch Fogelson, PhD and Pele Collins are building at @beyondreachlabs (YC W26).
Beyond Reach is building large 3D deployable structures that pack into a very small volume, then deploy into rigid, high-stiffness structures in space.
I have spent 9 years in this industry, specifically working on space deployables, and these guys are the real deal.
This is one of the technologies that has to work if we want large-scale space infrastructure to become real, from antennas and habitats to in-space manufacturing and eventually data centers in orbit.
I recorded a full episode with @fogmb ๐๐ฝ

Excited to be on @BlackFlagVC list of 100 exciting deep tech companies.
We are excited to continue building a future we believe in, supporting the exponentially growing power demands for space!
500+ founders. 1,500+ nominations. 100 companies.
The Black Flag 100 is back ๐ดโโ ๏ธ
No VC votes. No fund picks. Just pirates chasing storms over certainty.

I defended my thesis over 11 months ago, and a lot has changed since then...
But it is important when you have moments to celebrate that you take the time to celebrate them, so I decided to walk at graduation 11 months later.
@beyondreachlabs summer internship is the best opportunity to work on the largest Space problems in 2026 (literally and figuratively).

You might have missed @WheelofFortune last night due to @NASA Artemis splash down (which was beautiful), but go stream this legendary episode on @hulu, @DisneyPlus or @peacock!
@lyft If I choose Priority Pickup with a 6-minute estimate, but get matched to a driver 14 minutes away with a stop first, that defeats the purpose. Iโm willing to pay more for faster pickup. Please consider adding tiers that better prioritize and incentivize drivers to reduce wait times.
