Excited to share that our paper on cell-type specific changes in the striatal medium spiny neurons underlying the expression of RRBs in FXS mice is finally online @CellReports. Thanks to team members from @KlannLab, @CarterAG, @NicTritsch, and @BagniLab for their contribution!1/6
Thrilled to share @fran_longo17's latest work describing cell type-specific disruption of striatal circuitry in FXS. Many thanks to our collaborators in the labs of @CarterAG, @BagniLab, & @NicTritsch - sometimes it takes a village! https://t.co/K3WEH8UPTB

Finally, we showed that RGS4 translation is significantly reduced in dSPNs and stimulating M4R that is upstream of RGS4, reverses repetitive behaviors in FXS mice 6/6
TRAP-seq revealed altered binding of >120 mRNAs to ribosomes in dSPNs of FXS mice: elevation in mRNAs associated with ribosome and mitochondria, and reduction of those associated with cell adhesion, the synapse, and voltage-gated calcium channels 5/6
