@ChristinaPushaw@LisaBritton I agree. I think people need to stop blaming “messaging” and take responsibility and ownership for their choices and take accountability for the outcomes of those choices. No one forced you to do or not do anything. We have agency in this life.

tbh, this is fine. i have no idea how the car works or how anything in the house works 🤷🏻♀️. he has no idea how health works 🤷🏻♂️ that's partnership 🤝
@Cernovich@sama I'm not sure if you know this, but people are supposed to get hired for jobs based on their skills and experience, not political affiliations 🤷♀️
@JesseKellyDC I personally do not know anyone who cannot find a job. Yes, there will be times when the market is tougher than others, but for people who are talented, coachable, & have strong work ethic, jobs exist. I don’t know anyone who is worried about immigrants, skilled or unskilled.
@AdmiralBear01 Same. My parents immigrated to this country. They didn’t even graduate from high school. And they definitely didn’t have money to send me to college. And I wasn’t going to take out $160k in debt & wreck my life before it started. Going to Cal changed the trajectory of my life.
NEWS: Chinese EV maker Xpeng showed off its modular flying vehicle called Land Aircraft Carrier.

• Takes 5 minutes to put the aircraft back in the carrier
• Aircraft cabin fits two people
• Supports 5-6 short flights on a full charge. The “Mothership” can charge the aircraft’s battery from 30 to 80% in 18 minutes.
• Deliveries of this massive vehicle are scheduled for 2026. Annual production capacity of 10,000 units.
@NielsHoven Back in my day, we just signed up for college courses at the local community college. I went to mediocre public schools and honestly did not get a lot out of the curriculum, so I did a lot of independent learning and studying. Do people not do that anymore?
@morganisawizard We both have demanding careers and split household + caretaking responsibilities. The great thing about having separate accounts is that we never have to check in with each other on discretionary spending.
@morganisawizard My partner and I opened a bank account for shared expenses the day we moved in together. When we had similar incomes, we'd contribute the same amount. When there's a difference in incomes, we'd contribute proportionally. We both have skin in the game & never fight about money.
@iamjakestream@ericbahn@KTmBoyle I think “hiding your wealth” is more of a practical matter, like you don’t want to get robbed walking down the street.
@KTmBoyle Weird take. Maybe people like to spend their money in different ways. Some people buy nice cars. Others go on nice vacations. Some people buy nice homes. Others put money back into the market. I chalk it up to personal preferences, not something driven by “politics of shame.”
@SamInloes@anothercohen Yes, this. 20 year olds have no life experience, no perspective. Very few people have died in their life. When people start dying, you become more aware of things that actually matter: building healthy relationships, spending time on things that bring you joy, and sleeping.
@DaigoTanaka@damonchen This is the way! Having the time with your family and choice to work or not work. I don’t believe in having more things if it means I need to work like a slave to acquire/maintain them.
