I can't even process what I'm feeling right now. An accumulation of pandemic stress, mental health, work, and the terrorism our little province was subjected to this weekend. I keep randomly wanting and needing to cry.

My kid sister is in 12th grade. Yesterday her friend was murdered in the shootings. She's not speaking to anyone since she found out. This is not supposed to be her final year of highschool. This isnt supposed to happen. I wish I could be home to hug her and be there for her.

Today's episode of #dothework involved emotionally eating a box of donuts, learning about my adult attachment style and how it/I cause harm to others, and reevaluating several friendships formed while experiencing trauma. Sometimes #authenticity sucks. But it's worth it.

What does it say about our society that NSLC's are essential in fear of creating a second pandemic of alcohol withdrawal? That we live in a society where alcohol addiction is so prevelant it's become normal? Another reason we need #traumainformedcare
