I remain so grateful to @genentech & @ExelixisInc for allowing us to conduct this study - so vital now that I see rampant use of CPI rechallenge. I remember designing the study with @DrChoueiri as far back as 2015 when @neerajaiims & I started #COSMIC021. As I look around the #oncology space, it is still the cleanest design to answer the question - A vs A+B where B = CPI. CONTACT3 cabozantinib +/- atezo in VEGF/PD1 pretreated renal cancer did not hit PFS. This torpedoes the theory that switching IO is effective past IO progression. It questions rechallenge of IO after adjuvant pembro. It appears pts get 1 good go at IO https://t.co/TgbPgrj8U1
