Chennai is not a planned city and it needs to be decongested. Developing the Chennai area won't develop TN.
Trichy as 2nd Capital will make distributed growth evenly and reaching the capital in all directions will be of nearly the same distance & timings. Jewar Type Airport of 300 MMPA with 5 runways will connect East & West. It'll act as a catalyst for developing all the low income districts & create more twin city economic corridors around Trichy. Power must be devolved from Chennai and distributed growth reaches all parts of TN from Trichy.

As on today Chennai is the Hottest Mega City of India, not Bengaluru nor Hyderabad.
The built-up area of Chennai has increased from 30% to 74% from 2003 to 2023. The heat increase in area surrounding Sriperumbudur is very high as high built-up area is completely making that area very high is thermal discomfort.
Chennai’s land is subsiding due to various factors including Sea level rise and exploitation of ground water.
Chennai’s elevation in 3Feet from MSL, whereas Bengaluru is 3,000 feet from MSL.
Chennai is a flat megapolis on the sea and looked from a different perspective.
The people who support Paranthur airport and Run X handles may have different agenda to Project Chennai as a Heat Disaster Prone City, thereby pushing Industry to other states.
The Government should be careful about the voices that voice out for Paranthur.
Also look at the image of Bengaluru, how the Urban heat island has increased.

Deepest gratitude to our Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal as we inaugurate the Mini #TIDEL Parks in Thanjavur and Salem, bringing world-class IT infrastructure to these cities. 🙏
As an MLA from the #Delta, I am especially grateful that Thanjavur is now home to its first major IT facility. Under the guidance of our CM the department of Industry Investment Promotion and Commerce was able to ensure that this project was completed in just 15 months. Given the immense demand, we may soon move towards Phase II, pending approval from our Honourable CM.
Our HCM's vision of bringing more IT Industry infra to Tier II cities like Salem has now resulted in quick completion of the #SalemTidelNeo and with the Tex Park coming soon Salem will get a big boost in the textiles sector.
These Mini TIDEL Parks are a testament to our commitment to creating employment opportunities in emerging regions and 2/3-tier cities, so our talented youth can pursue their careers right here at home.
