#USA is tragically ignoring the lessons of the past. Every time AFC/M23 withdraws, #Tshisekedi’s forces, FARDC, Wazalendo and their allies unleash terror on civilians. #Nturo, #Kitchanga, #Bwiza are painful proof. Re-entering Uvira under this regime puts civilians at grave risk. The @SecRubio knows this history—and still pushes withdrawal. This is reckless and dangerous. @US_SrAdvisorAF

Reminder:
- January 2023, M23 withdraws from 80% of the liberated territory.
- Burundian troops of the EAC are deployed, theoretically in implementation of the ceasefire, but in practice leaving free rein to #FDLR, #Nyatura, #FARDC and #Wazalendo, steeped in the anti-Tutsi genocide ideology for decades.
- From October 2 to 4, these genocidal forces undertake, on camera, the total destruction of the village of Nturo where 300 houses belonging to Congolese Tutsi will be reduced to ashes, 9 people will be killed, thousands of Congolese Tutsi from Nturo, Petit Masisi, Kitchanga and its surroundings flee to the Bwiza camp where 17,000 displaced persons, more than 60% of whom are children, will take refuge.
- From October 6 to 10 in Kitchanga, a hunt for Tutsi by the FDLR-Wazalendo takes place on the watch of the Burundian troops of the EAC and MONUSCO. Entire families will be wiped out, notably with machetes.
- On October 15, the Bwiza camp where the 17,000 Tutsi had taken refuge will be attacked by these same genocidal forces. The displaced persons are accused of being "M23 collaborators."
- These 17,000 Tutsi displaced persons will survive total extermination thanks to the intervention of the M23.
“Never Again!” (Col. Nzenze)

in October 2023, #Nturo village was completely burned to ashes by a coalition of armed groups backed by the #kinshasa government!!
…see now life is back, inka zirakamwa abana bararagira🥰🥰
#MASISI_NK_RDC:

Ewe dd. https://t.co/53IfvTbazG
@KivuToday Burundian troops in #Congo are just there to help #Tshisekedi wipe out #Banyamulenge like they did in #Gatumba. These troops participated actively in congolese #Tutsi massacre in #Nturo village situated in north #Kivu.

Totale hypocrisie. #MONUSCOinutile

In 2023, an entire village of Congolese Tutsi was burned in #Nturo, #Masisi.
In 2024, the #Banyamulenge are being bombed in #Minembwe.
Where were #MONUSCO? Nowhere to be seen! But when it comes to accusing Rwanda, they’re right there.
Total hypocrisy.
#UselessMONUSCO
Minister @onduhungirehe criticized @MONUSCO for its failure to address violence in the DRC, including the destruction of Congolese #Tutsi homes in #Nturo village and ongoing bombings of #Banyamulenge villages.
He also questioned @MONUSCO's absence in these crises and emphasized the need for DRC to address governance and political inclusion
@PrincessNdabaga @jamesangima @SANDF_ZA Indeed, Tshisekedi paid a lot of money to some citizens to protest against Kenya. At that time, #EACRF performed excellently, except for the Burundian troops who worked with #Fardc, #FDLR etc…& burned a place called #Nturo. Other than that, the #Kenyan forces did their job well.
@IntlCrimCourt As the victims of the #Kinshasa regime we'll be sharing facts here bcz the #ICC Prosecutor decides to selectively listen to our oppressors.
In the video, local militias, key allies of DRC army, delighted in killing #Tutsi and burning their houses in #Nturo village, Masisi/N-Kivu
