Ideological extremism is destroying prospects for peace. Most Americans will support a pragmatic peace strategy to free the hostages, provide aid to the population of Gaza, launch the two-state solution and put Hamas terror & right-wing fanaticism behind us.
I know that there's a lot of confusion in the US and Israel over 'post-war' arrangements; who runs Gaza, where Hamas leadership go, security in the Strip, etc.
I want to make this perfectly clear. I worked with, met and personally knew many Palestinians, including the most senior diplomats and politicians. Every single one of them, except one person, believes and hopes that the 2-state solution is a stepping stone towards the 'final solution', where Israel is eradicated and a Palestinian state, from the river to the sea, is established. This is an account of every interaction I can recall. Make of that what you will.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is not only out of step with most of Israeli citizensβbut also flat-out wrong about what's needed to keep his country safe and secure in the future.
Not sure why Democrats feel the need to lie like this. The #TwoStateFinalSolution was not US policy until the George W Bush administration (and considering the way Dems reversed or ignored most of his policies, holding onto this one seems less about tradition and more about their Palestinianism ideology.)
