Dr. Julian Sutherland (@JulekSU) from @Nethermind delivered one of the most rigorous talks of the event, a deep dive into why formal verification is becoming non-negotiable for zkVM safety at the @brevis_zk #ZKCONNECT.
🔍 Why it matters
zkVMs replace re-execution with cryptographic proofs.
But those proofs are only trustworthy if they match the exact semantics of the ISA they’re proving.

•Constraint system soundness
•Proof system soundness (FRI, ALI, Sumcheck…)
•Prover and verifier correctness
If any layer drifts, the guarantees collapse.
