@HarperAdamsUni @stop_steeraway I should think not. Solar must be on low grade land, brownfield sites and rooftops. Surely an agricultural college would not support solar on #bmvl as this would raise serious questions about the future of #farming and #food production.

1/2 Solar will only help the #climatecrisis if the industry stops covering our #bmvl. Solar does not need the good #soil, unlike #crops. You get the same amount of solar whether it’s on good farmland or low grade land! Crops on the other hand, need the good soil to thrive.

Here’s the revised map of the #solar proposal by #harmonyenergy on our #BMVL farmland.There has been no consultation with us of these revisions, yet if granted, we will lose almost HALF of our farm and the remaining land is simply not enough to support a viable arable enterprise
