@Wheels4Well @CleanAirDulwich @mcash @margynewens @RM_Leeming @SouthwarkLS @DulwichSociety @Safe_Routes In practice traffic wardens will not ticket blue badge holders for dangerous position parking (which is rife). Neither will @MPSDulwichVllge despite #OpParkSafe
@lb_southwark wardens seem more focused on revenue (overstayed pay and display tickets) than keeping roads safe.
Would it be possible for @MPSDulwichWood or @MPSDulwichVllge to take a visit to this area and deal with some of these dangerous parking offences?
You have the powers - see #OpParkSafe @markandcharlie
@InspTomCornish
@Reece7310 @MikeKaneMP Its why we need #OpParkSafe ASAP, even the knowledge of the possibility of offenders being reported by members of the public will change offending behaviour
Attercliffe every evening - 6 cars blocking the pavement on one side of the road, five entirely on the pavement on the other side, no safe pedestrian route. If only we still had #OpParkSafe @syptweet @SheffCouncil @ParkinginSheff
@nickyebrennan @CllrMajid @WMPolice @BrumLeader @Ms_SThompson @RichParkerLab @Cllr_suleman @RobPocock1 @KarenInSellyOak @Harborne_Jayne @MickBrown3 Neighbourhood policing teams have a key role in preventing road harm. They need to be directly tasked to tackle harmful driving behaviour and be made accountable to the communities they serve. #OpParkSafe #OpTopDeck #OpZigZag: all effective enforcement initiatives; all ignored.
@RuthMilsom @benmiskell @SouthYorksMayor Sounds positive.
Canโt help thinking #OpParkSafe, could have played an important role in supporting #SchoolStreets
Something similar, ideally that combined the confusing split between civil & legal restrictions, might be nice.
Also, where necessary, a willingness to use ๐ฅ
@Lets_getcycling @neilinlevy @AfzalKhanMCR @LevyCllrs @bevcraig @ManCityCouncil @MCC_Levenshulme We all know what the answer is, the authorities are part of the problem, we need #OpParkSafe
@Chris_Boardman If an #OpParkSafe reporting portal paid out ยฃ10 from a recovered fine to the person making the report then this issue would quickly go away.
@sjoh0050 @Chris_Boardman @bigdamo @gmpolice Iโm going to go with - because police have no powers to deal with yellow line offences for about, ooo 30 years now. Obstruction of the highway and dangerous position offences, however, that we can deal with using #OpParksafe
@Chris_Boardman Have you met @cinspkevinsmith ? Heโs pushing #OpParkSafe & encouraging police forces across the country to allow the public to report parking like this online so that it can be dealt with by the police. Already In Sheffield, be great to have your backing. https://t.co/oiKqWQS5qT
If only our local police teams could engage with #OpParkSafe and get results like this when tackling the dangerous parking around schools, crossings and junctions.

Another very expensive decision. The convenience of parking partially on the pavement, on double yellows,right next to an extremely busy 4 way junction cost this driver ยฃ1014 and 6 points on their licence. #courtresult #OpParksafe

โOne police force in the UK allows you to do thisโ? I think youโll find itโs more than one #OpParkSafe
@Mally350z @ParkinginSheff Area is part of @SheffNW_NPT - this type of โparkingโ attracts points and a fine if reported to police via #OpParksafe
@ParkinginSheff I think thatโs in @SheffSE_NPT area and could be reported to #opparksafe via the portal.
People are being urged to photograph parking which causes problems outside schools https://t.co/PGZrJnp3Lo
