@Shireen1114@Nouveii@ibrahimrehmanpk Exactly. If I know that I will not be able to pay back the loan I am planning to take, I shouldn’t take it at the first place. #BSE18
@ManarSalehFarsi@maryam_mn8@Student242 I agree. If we end up imposing laws companies might just do the bare minimum. However, if we show them what CSR could do for the business, companies would think of creative ways to incorporate CSR into the model. #BSE18
@danaalkhayarin@SaraYJAlJassim@snmarafi Do you think that’s always bad though? Because a significant number of people end up working in areas that they do not have a strong educational background in and are quite satisfied and successful. #BSE18
@Tameem_alasfar@MaryamAAT@SaraYJAlJassim I think most these of these companies need to hire interns especially Qataris due to Qatarization. This is why a number of them don’t even accept non-Qatari interns. In this case, it is cosmetic because interns don’t do much even though they want to... #BSE18
@danaalkhayarin Interesting article. I like how the article differentiates between CSR in the Middle East and the West. I agree that in the Middle East CSR is aimed mostly at social issue faced by the community, while in the U.S it is more related to environmental sustainability. #BSE18
@Student242 What I found interesting was that CSR is not something that can be implemented overnight. It is a slow process that takes a long time to be incorporated properly into the business.#BSE18
@MaryamAAT@SaraYJAlJassim@Tameem_alasfar Exactly. These companies could benefit a lot from intern since they bring along fresh ideas/insights. However, the way they treat interns mostly ends up demotivating them to an extent where they just want to get done. #BSE18
@dana_obaidan@SaraAlmansouri9 I agreed. A number of them leave and join the public sector. This harms the private sector because it’s not able to motivate or retain nationals. #BSE18
