@hotdogsladies@dobyfriday@AlexCox Really excellent After Show. "Anticipating bumps" describes a mode I regularly find myself stuck in, and so often it feels like, when I finally break out of it (after an hour of mindless activity), and I'm on the ramp to actually doing The Thing, *then* I'll hit the bump. 😔
@DAlboraTom Are these "Promoted" or "Trending" tweets? I avoid those by using a third-party client, but third-party apps also don't have access to some functionality (e.g. polls), so that's the trade-off.
Of course who knows what this place will look like in a month, given its new owner. 🤷♂️
@atpfm Different design decisions were made for reasons, but I didn't hear much consideration given to what those reasons were. You mostly complained about how the ride isn't exactly the same as the one at your home park, which unfortunately for you, is presently burning down. (2/2)
@atpfm Gotta say, your Mastodon segment felt a bit like you were trying to review a rollercoaster at a new-to-you amusement park by standing next to it and commenting on how it is constructed. (1/2)
Since 2019 I’ve been in an expensive, stressful legal battle to protect Webcomic Name (my “oh no” comics). It’s a relief to finally talk about this publicly! I’m launching a crowdfunder to pay my
remaining legal fees to end this. 1/8 https://t.co/1XcihGB885
With Twitter's change in ownership last week, I'm probably in the clear to talk about the most unethical thing I was asked to build while working at Twitter.

@postmodern_mod3@github Hmm...would probably want it to be opt-in, so that it did not suddenly fracture communication with OSS maintainers about their projects...
@jsonbecker I've had similar struggles. It's tough to balance giving yourself time to heal physically with not allowing yourself to fall into a dark hole mentally. I have found it helpful to look for tiny tasks as a way to get a little satisfaction from a relatively small amount of effort.
