My JUCO coach used to say “When you’re struggling at the plate, keep your hands up and work down. 99.9% of the time you’re missing under”
Masterclass by Miguel Cabrera
“When you see an easy 98, the legs aren’t tense, it’s like floating…the upper body is hanging out and loading up. So after they get to the front, it can turn the corner and go”
Listen in on a session with Eugene where he talks about how creating tension in the legs too early can cause the slider to back up and the fastball to sail off and how some of the best throwers who make 98 and 102 look easy move

💥Struggle to Turn Behind the Ball?💥
The Step Back No-Stride is a great way to learn to load with 2 feet in the ground
The added bat between the feet is to help @CooperWhitton feel himself rotate from the middle of his body
MIKE LEACH ON EMBRACING HARD
"Nothing is really fun unless it's hard ...
You're pushing yourself. All of a sudden you're making great plays.
You're doing things that you've never done before...
Never hope that it's easy."
~ via @WSUCougarFB and @DrewMaddox
Don’t rush the arm swing during your 10 toes drill. Maximize your range and energy transfer by fully flipping up before releasing the ball.

“A lot of big leaguers say they want their barrel above their hands but if you look at video that’s not what’s happening...but in relation to the spine it’s above the hands”🤯
Listen to Eugene talk about why ARod and other players felt like their barrel was above their hands and why their feel wasn’t wrong🗣️

“He who does the least to create the most survives the longest…had a 16 year old had never been above 85. We tried it and he sat 87-89 for the rest of the summer and committed to a Big D1”

Athletic Plyos: A Pitcher's Saving Grace?
A coach's post from @FranchFrys25 🔥
Feeling plateaued with your throwing routine? Getting domed up about every little mechanical thing you need to work on? Feeling robotic in your throwing?
Maybe adding in a day or 2 of athletic-style plyos each week can be that saving grace for you.
This series included:
-Single leg throws from varying arm slots
-Split stance rhythm self tosses
-Quick Picks
-Jump Throw variations
-Back Hand Tosses
The goal here is to:
✅Promote athleticism
✅Promote self-organization
✅Have fun
Athlete first, pitcher second⚡️🔥
PS: The best part is you can do this with plyos, or just in catch play with a baseball, and the amount of variations you can create just having fun with it are infinite.
