@elonmusk His ideas assume further progress hits a plateau and humans continue to be the only entities that have good taste and judgment. Who is to say this will still be the case in 6 months? Even if that is still a few years away, that day of reckoning is coming.
@Strife212 You can make the same argument about human biology. Ultimately, at the most fundamental level, it’s all just math and deterministic systems. Yet here we are feeling conscious.
@Plinz@wojinald Christ the photo hanging on my mom’s wall that she talks to when she can’t pay the bills? Or Christ the revolutionary that lived 2000 years ago?
@Andr3jH It’s not a matter of “couldn’t” accomplish. They wouldn’t try to accomplish this. Nothing to gain that would be worth the cost. Pushing that hard toward speed pf light would be a spectacular waste of energy.
@LiquidHbox Smash needs a standalone spin off series that turns the concept into a whole ass 2d adventure game. Like a Metroid-vania. Use every fighter’s unique characteristics and abilities to solve puzzles, survive hordes of enemies, and defeat complex bosses.
@awkwardgoogle We each burn slightly more calories in stepping on these vs hard firm surface. So this is really converting food into a very small amount of electricity. You pay for that food out of pocket, and that food has a carbon footprint. In no way is this efficient or a real solution.
@Pontifex Feel like more people would be into Christianity if you didn’t talk about eating your deity. I understand it’s a metaphor, but there has to be a better way to say it.
