@tlarghblargh@LambertNolen@ArmandDoma@GrowSF Doesn’t matter if the mayor is moderate if the board of supervisors is progressive as they hold all the power. Not to mention DA Boudin.
@joeyjguarino@Abdul_Q_86@agraybee I’ve said this before but for a supposed “public health expert” I wish he stopped promoting the equivalent of slop. He should know better.
@Snaremiento@BeshearStan Yes? But people all over the city rely on those big grocery stores, usually as the only store in the area or the most affordable in the area.
@Snaremiento@BeshearStan SPUR’s analysis of prop D explains it well. https://t.co/Txy1Kz0u8h
GrowSF does as well. This isn’t an endorsement of them, just they explain the measure and its implications. https://t.co/QcLw70ef3n
@realsaadasad@vikinick_ Depends on the area but yeah. Most democratic voters in the state are looking for a pro-biz, socially liberal candidate after all. Imo if the CAGOP pivoted to this post-2012, they would still have a decent chunk of power.
@maxdubler All the people protesting it were the worst sort of people as well. Not to mention the “park” was a dirt pit that was genuinely dangerous. I used to live in Unit 2 and got chased by homeless people with pipes on a few different occasions.
@vikinick_@realsaadasad CAGOP base has been fully captured by Trump since 2016-2017, “moderate” Republicans don’t really exist as a thing anymore. Sure there are some in some local government levels (see Newport Beach city council), but very very few at the state level.
@Snaremiento@BeshearStan It was a dumb tax that was a grocery tax at a time when these companies are barely braking even enough to stay in business in SF. Like come on man.
