@Badger26348@Room36544@truemagic68 It's not the best policy change, I'll agree. There was no exploit being abused by holding cash in a S&S ISA, and is a perfectly resonable thing to do.
I think this must be in part reactionary to the astronomical gains we've seen from multiple tickers recently...
@hansitfc@TraderOdon@PolitlcsUK I think having available cash to deploy is important. This will be punishing if you make significant gains: either you take the hit, redeploy immediately, or withdraw to a bank account -- but then you need a Flexible ISA & must transfer back in before tax year end. It's all meh.

"...there will be no transfers from Stocks and Shares ISAs (S&S ISA) ... to Cash ISAs..."
This rule makes sense. If you could just transfer to your Cash ISA & earn interest, that would make this change irrelevant. I disagree with it in general though.
@AndyR2r13x@SamCKx How much worse off are you today in real terms vs. prior to Labour getting into power? How do you propose to keep the rich engaged with the UK tax system, knowing they can just freely move? Weโd need a US-style tax on worldwide income. Good luck getting the support for that.
@SamCKx When you dive down the rabbit hole, it's terrifying just how indoctrinated so many people are. The images and fabricated stories that get shared by the dozen are just insane. I could never be the PM. Tens of thousands of misinformed lunatics, for lack of a better term.
@AccrueReturns@AH94RAR Next time, you might want to consider placing a stop loss down at 25%. While you may potentially end up leaving money on the table, you at least open yourself up to further upside potential. Worst case, you walk away with your profit target.
@steady_profits@finance420_@2147mill I think this is what will have to happen in order to keep things simple enough -- your S&S ISA will no longer pay interest on cash.
@kathyf@BedevilledRat@DavidGr40434506 Itโs always interesting when those like BedevilledRat seem totally unable to comprehend there can be two sides, and that one argument for in no way degrades the other.
@DavidGr40434506@BedevilledRat@kathyf People die from both, which is why both are problems โ as I quite clearly stated. At least with the cold you can do cost effective things, such as wrap up warm. Alas, itโs still an issue. As is the heat. Youโre almost certainly a bot.
@LCSlates@stripesupport The whole banking system is a black box. Itโs ridiculous that in this day and age thereโs still a risk that an intermediary bank will unknowingly snipe ยฃ20 off your bank transfer as a thank you fee.
@mweinbach@eduardfausgil@Starbucks I think people also need to realise that youโre rarely going to remember the name of these drinks, especially if youโre often ordering from other chains and restos. We are also more visual than we are verbal โ Iโll recognise it in the app, but I might not know how to describe.
