Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use.
Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.
Also new in Claude Code: dynamic workflows (research preview).
For the hardest tasks, Claude makes a plan, runs hundreds of parallel subagents, and verifies its work before reporting back. Think a migration touching hundreds of files.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.8: it builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors.

@audible_com I hope so. I had each of the 3 human agents, explicitly note the real problems on my record. Make it happen and let me know when I can gift credits. I give away a lot of books.
@amazon & @audible_com I buy a lot of books through you to gift. This morning I found out that I cannot use a 9 credit pack purchase to gift books with. This is utter non-sense. Additionally, I had to spend 40 minutes in your customer support hell, five agents later, 2 useless AI agents + 3 humans / transfers, each asking me to repeat the same information, look up order numbers, repeat amounts, etc. Am I working for you? Or should you be working for me? I finally have my money back in 5 to 7 business days for the pleasure of patronizing your service. You owe me and all the other customers our time back.
You're market winning strategy until several years ago was to offer customers convenience + customer obsession. BUT, now, you've pivoted to "keep the customers money as long as you can," "customers will give up on refunds if we make the process frustrating enough," and "profit above all."
For what it's worth, there are other options, and next time I purchase, I'll be looking for those vendors instead. Giving the creators of the value, the 30-60% margin you charge them for the "convenience" of using your market-place.
PS: I don't see anything about a no-gifting policy on your purchase page. Maybe I need to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission for your subversive advertising tactics. I bet there's also a good amount of public sentiment to warrant a class action lawsuit. Any lawyers care to comment?
@sama Pretty sure this is the signal I needed to quite your service after being a pro member since it's beginning and constant Open AI evangelist since ChatGPT released.
You're pivot to enshitification is uninspiring.
Gold’s market cap as a % of US M2 just hit ~170%+.
This is an all-time high, matching the Great Depression (1934) and above the 1980 inflation peak.
Historically, extremes in this ratio show up around macro stress/dollar regime shifts and often mark turning points (1980 preceded a 60%+ gold drawdown).
This feels like a pivot moment again: there’s no real consensus, and that’s exactly why there may be a lot of alpha for whoever’s right from here.
We just crossed $100M in AI agent ARR in under 24 months.
Not because of a viral launch or AI hype.
But because of a crazy bet we made in 2023.
At the end of 2023, over 60k local businesses were using @PodiumHQ to centralize their leads and customer communication into one platform.
It’s a great product. Customers convert more leads and make more money with it.
But one reality became impossible to ignore:
Our customers’ biggest constraint isn’t software. It’s staffing.
→ 75% annual turnover
→ 30% of leads come after hours
→ Every missed call can be $20,000+ in lost revenue
Business owners don’t care about software.
They care about making money.
And the best software in the world doesn’t matter if there aren’t enough people to run it.
So we built Jerry, the perfect user of our own platform.
Not a chatbot. An AI employee that uses Podium to:
- Qualify and schedule every lead
- Handle objections and follow up
- Learn through natural-language coaching
- Work 24/7
Demos are easy.
Real AI employees are not.
To work in the real world, AI has to think, act, understand context, and use tools.
It has to handle thousands of edge cases every day.
It has to be coachable. Like a human.
That leap is enormous.
Agents aren’t a feature. They’re the foundation.
That’s why we rebuilt Podium as an AI-first system of agents.
Today:
- 10,000+ AI agents live in production
- AI now outperforms humans in many jobs
- $100M+ in AI agent ARR, and accelerating
This is still day one.
The future isn’t software. It's AI employees that do the work and unlock growth for businesses.
We’re early in building what we believe will become the most impactful AI employee ecosystem for the $3T SMB market.
We’ve seen 300% year-over-year AI revenue growth and we’re just getting started.
I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
So, here goes.
TIL, When prompting AI, instead of using `act as a world-class sales consultant to...`
Use a specific well-published expert from the domain you are investigating, eg, `act as Neil Rackham, author of the book "SPIN Selling" to give me guidance on...`
Insight:
Generic persona's aren't effective because LLM’s are trained on a massive corpus of human knowledge, that includes trolls, self-proclaimed experts and poor quality examples.
Superior outcomes result from real expert personas because a specific thought leader for a well defined domain will focus agent responses on vetted contemporary best practices for it’s answers.

I was inspired by this so I wanted to see if Claude Code can get into my Lutron home automation system.
- it found my Lutron controllers on the local wifi network
- checked for open ports, connected, got some metadata and identified the devices and their firmware
- searched the internet, found the pdf for my system
- instructed me on what button to press to pair and get the certificates
- it connected to the system and found all the home devices (lights, shades, HVAC temperature control, motion sensors etc.)
- it turned on and off my kitchen lights to check that things are working (lol!)
I am now vibe coding the home automation master command center, the potential is 🔥.And I'm throwing away the crappy, janky, slow Lutron iOS app I've been using so far. Insanely fun :D :D
I can’t shake the feeling that our perceptions and intuitions can’t grasp what’s really happening right now. We are in an epic contest for existence. We’re peripherally aware of this but are anesthetized to it by normalcy. The rarity and specialness of our conscious existence exceeds our capacity to understand. We’ve inherited all matter of cultural code about how to think about life and death and meaning. I don’t buy any of it. Whether we realize it or not, we are players in a game. It’s our galaxy’s most epic game: sentient intelligence. The board is 100,000 light years in diameter and has a few hundred billion stars. We don’t know, but as far as we can tell, we are the only players on the board right now. There are illusions of peace. Coffee shops are open, markets are moving, politics are loud. The bigness of what’s happening can’t be seen except by careful observers. Even then, our brains are linear and the progress is exponential, blinding the wisest and most sober of seeing what’s actually happening. We need something new to awake us from our hypnosis and work with a vigor that defies even our own understanding.
