Few days ago Sowari Gharti, a 46 year old female, was injured in a sloth bear attack near Karra community forest in Dang. Our friends were quick to respond by conducting awareness program to the same loca community forest user group members and school childrens nearby the area.

भोलि नारायणगढदेखि बुटवलसम्मको पैदल यात्रामा निस्कदैछौं। तीन दिनमा ११३ किलोमिटर दूरी पार गर्ने लक्ष्य छ। पूर्व-पश्चिम राजमार्गअन्तर्गत नारायणगढ-बुटवल सडकखण्डको स्तरोन्नतिमा भइरहेको विलम्ब र अहिले यात्राक्रममा नागरिकले खेप्नु परेको सास्तीबारे सरकारको ध्यानाकर्षण गराउनु यात्राको मुख्य उद्देश्य हो। यात्रामा मलाई पार्टीका नेतागण र सांसदहरुले पनि साथ दिँदै हुनुहुन्छ।

यात्राक्रममा सडकको दायाँवायाँ बस्ती छिरेर वा निश्चित ठाउँमा भेला भएर स्थानीयसँग अन्तरक्रिया गर्ने चाहना थियो। उहाँहरूका समस्या सुन्ने र सुझाव ग्रहण गर्ने इच्छा थियो। तर, यात्राको दिन लम्बिने भएकाले यसपटक त्यसका लागि समय छुट्याउन असमर्थ भएको छु। यात्राको बीच-बीचमा स्वागत वा अन्य कार्यक्रम नराख्न पनि अनुरोध गर्दछु । हाम्रो उद्देश्य सांकेतिकरुपमा सरकारको ध्यानाकर्षण गराउनु हो। र, सवारी साधनको आवत-जावतमा कुनै अवरोध नहाेस् भन्नेमा पनि हामी सचेत छाैं। दबाब यात्रमा साथ दिन आउनु हुने कसैले पनि झन्डा, लोगो, टि-सर्टलगायत पार्टी सम्बद्ध कुनै पनि बस्तु प्रयोग नगरिदिनुहुन पनि आग्रह गर्दछु ।

Today during our visit to KONJYOSOM, Lalitpur we had a very saddening experience. I jumped into the waterfall to encounter a bear skull in the water, his hands were severed a few feets outside in the land. It seemed the brutal crime took place few weeks/days back only.
