@TakoTreba@Lovable Hopeful my application to the program gets approved this week 😍 I’ve been building solidly for well over a year on lovable and ran several businesses with it
@SahilBloom Same here, mate, but I spent most of my 20s and my 30s thinking that
Now I’ve got a nine month old daughter and I’m still adjusting to the absolutely magical feeling I get when I’m with her
Last week I invested £9,000 in AI infrastructure via tax-free ISAs:
• SMGB (Semiconductors). 27.7% annualised over 10 years.
• DFNS (Defence). 49.4% annualised over 3 years.
• NUCG (Nuclear Energy). 42.0% annualised over 3 years.
New UK tax year just started. Another £20,000 going in across these three.
At a blended 20-25% annual return (conservative vs historical), £60K invested over 3 years compounds to £560K-£870K in 10 years. Tax-free. No CGT. No dividend tax. Ever.
The thesis: every AI future needs chips, power, and security. These three cover all of it.
People think change comes from wanting something better.
It doesn't. Not for me anyway.
Every real change I've made came from staring at something negative in my life until I couldn't tolerate it anymore. Not the dream of what I wanted, but the disgust at where I was.
We love certainty. Structure. Routine. We'll cling to a life we hate because at least it's familiar. And then we try to motivate ourselves with vision boards and goals and "imagine where you could be in five years."
That never worked for me. What worked was sitting with how bad things actually were until changing wasn't a choice anymore. It was just the only option left.
When you get there, discipline becomes irrelevant. You don't need it. You have a mission instead.
