We’ve changed our name.
Live Forever Club is now Live Forever Society.
We are keeping the same community, channels and commitment to longer, healthier lives — but with a sharper focus on life extension, rejuvenation science and advocacy in the UK.
More years. More life.
Let's focus on the real problem... your risk of dying from cancer (and most other diseases) doubles every 8 years.
Curing ageing will impact EVERYONE including the 9,500 people diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in the UK every year.
@BBCNews Letting your drinks cool down was a tip in my 2018 Live Forever Manual.

@ModernDayInves@rand_longevity Your body handled that in your 20s (well, maybe not a zillion!) and maintained a mortality rate massively below someone in their 70s - so hopefully people will be able to drink and eat what they want to remain healthy.
@chartsandchess@rand_longevity Agree. As soon as we've broken the current maximum lifespan (which is achieved through lack of disease but eventual system-wide deterioration) then we've proven we can impact the biology of aging.
@DisabilityResol If life extending treatments work as well as hoped - that is, they truly rejuvenate our bodies (and mental capacity) to that of a 25 year-old - then retirement will become part of a cyclic pattern: train, work, retire - repeat.
@davidasinclair Surprising given 90% of the population (conversative guess) don't know what cell reprogramming and senolytics are. How was the audience chosen?
@ajayphulwadhwa@rand_longevity Keep telling them - it will make it easier for people to believe when the first rejuvenation treatments get through clinical trials.
@ulikaiser@rand_longevity Yes - longevity escape velocity. When you get to 70 (or hopefully sooner) there should be an approved therapy that reduces your biological age by 2 years. Then another therapy appears 5 years after that - slowing your biological age progression until eventually you stop ageing
Some cells in your brain may be aging faster than the rest of your body @NUedukz

101 key points from Reversal by Michael Fossel @MFossel
A highly recommended read - no prior knowledge required - a great overview of the prospect of reversing ageing #telomeres#AgingResearch#Books#GoodReads#Longevity

This analysis from Karl is a must-read. He is 100% right that the distinction between slowing aging and reversing it (aka rejuvenation) is fundamental but is far too ignored/misunderstood.
