MCSA is a professional law enforcement association comprised of the largest Sheriff's offices in the US. Our membership represents over 130 million Americans.
Congratulations, Emiliano Hernandez! Our second annual Sheriff for a Day contest was a success and full of memories. Watch the video to see Sheriff Hernandez visit Sheriff's K9, HQ, ASTREA, SWAT, Crime Lab, and the Vista Patrol station! 🚓
We had a great time teaching kids how to fish today at our annual Fishin’ with Grady Judd event!
Kids had the opportunity to learn alongside our deputies while enjoying free food, ice cream, and plenty of fun giveaways. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a reel-y great day 🎣 #PCSO #GradyJudd

As hurricane season gets underway, @Sheriff_Rosie and members of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office joined Florida Chief Financial Officer @GovGoneWild, State Representative @OmarBlancoFL, and @MiamiDadeFire’s Urban Search & Rescue team to share important hurricane preparedness and safety information with our community.
The message was simple: prepare now, not later. Review your emergency plans, build your supply kits, document your property and belongings for insurance purposes, and stay informed through trusted sources. Taking these steps before a storm can make all the difference when severe weather threatens our area.
#YourMDSO remains committed to helping keep our community informed, prepared, and safe throughout hurricane season.

With the FIFA World Cup starting next week, the safety of fans, athletes, & host communities remains the top priority. Today, @SecMullinDHS and @RepDaleStrong discussed efforts to counter malicious drones through law enforcement coordination at every level, and how these insights will strengthen preparation for future events like the 2028 LA Olympics & Paralympics:
I am incredibly proud of the advanced technology our department continues to implement through the use of drones.
Providing critical information in real time helps our deputies respond more effectively, solve crimes faster, and enhance the safety of both our communities and our personnel.
I encourage you to watch this video to learn more about our Drone as First Responder Program and the impact it is already having across San Bernardino County.

Last week, Vice President Vance honored fallen officers at the Peace Officer Memorial Service:
"God bless the fallen and may he continue to bless the great United States of America."
On May 15, 2026, @SheriffMina, members of FOP Lodge 93, and sworn personnel who proudly served alongside Haley Pine’s father, had the privilege of watching her walk across the stage as she graduated from The First Academy.
Haley is the daughter of fallen Deputy Jonathan Scott Pine, and while her father could not be there in person, his law enforcement family was there to cheer her on every step of the way. 💙
Today was more than a graduation day. It was a reminder that the bonds of this profession never fade and that we will always honor the promise to care for the families of our fallen heroes. Deputy Pine’s sacrifice protecting our community will never be forgotten, and neither will the family he loved so deeply.
Haley, we are incredibly proud of the strong, remarkable young woman you have become. Congratulations on this milestone and on the bright future ahead. Your eternal law enforcement family will always stand beside you.

ON OUR HOME TEAM: As Santa Clara County gets ready to welcome the @FIFAWorldCup, we’re spotlighting some of the teammates who help keep our community moving safely every day. One of them is Deputy Oliver Navarro.
You’ll often find Deputy Navarro on our @VTA trains and buses as part of the Transit Patrol Division — checking in with riders, responding to calls, and lending a hand with ongoing investigations. He’s the kind of steady presence you want on your team, which is why he earned the @SCCgov Employee Excellence Award after @SuperBowl LX at @LevisStadium.
Before that big game, Deputy Navarro really stepped up, coordinating K9 teams and bomb sweeps to help ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. And when high‑pressure situations pop up, he’s quick to take the lead, keeping operations organized and on track.
Through it all, his goal stays the same: delivering top‑tier service to riders and the community he proudly serves.

During National Police Week, members of our Honor Guard traveled to Washington, D.C. to stand alongside law enforcement agencies from across the nation in honoring fallen heroes.
This is National Police Week. Among the events is the Unity Tour. Hundreds of peace officers participated in a 300 mile bicycle ride in memory of the fallen. It was an honor to greet the @OCSheriff team as they finished their ride at the National Peace Officer Memorial in DC.
Thank you to @SpeakerJohnson for hosting a coffee for our nation’s law enforcement leaders during Police Week in Washington, D.C.
It was an honor to spend time with officials from across the country discussing the challenges facing public safety and the continued importance of supporting those who serve and protect our communities every day.

🚨🚨🚨 Big news: Senators @SenJohnKennedy & @SenBooker and Reps. @RepDwightEvans & @RepDonBacon have just reintroduced the VICTIM Act in the U.S. Congress!
This bipartisan legislation will help law enforcement solve more violent crimes, and we're honored to have worked with these sponsors to develop it.
Deputy Bradley Reckling gave his life serving the people of Michigan.
He left behind a wife and four children, including a baby he never got to meet.
This Police Week, we remember him. And we stand with the brave men and women of @OaklandSheriff who carry his memory forward.
Honored to represent the Major County Sheriffs of America at today’s congressional briefing in the Senate alongside fellow law enforcement leaders and Jim McDonnell of the Los Angeles Police Department to discuss the evolving role of technology in public safety.
Technology continues to play a critical role in helping law enforcement solve crimes faster, improve officer safety, and better protect our communities. Thank you to the Senate Law Enforcement Caucus for bringing agencies together for these important conversations and collaborative efforts.

It’s my honor to join America in celebrating Police Week 2026 - where we honor the best men and women on earth who put the badge on every day to keep us safe.
At this FBI under President Trump, we continue to crush violent crime and defend the homeland at record levels - largely thanks to these heroes who get it done on the front lines all across this country.
And when it comes to standing with police, this FBI’s message is simple: if you touch a cop, we’ll put you down.
Backing the Blue is here to stay.
