@SciGuySpace No gap might be trickier than anticipated. Having a regenerative life support system that is reliable is required for stays greater than about a month…depending on consumable resupply schedule. If you can’t have a robust long-duration life support system, it may be short trips

The CME seen in STEREO-A HI images is traced back to a diffuse partial halo CME observed by LASCO. I think its origin is a slow eruption between the two coronal holes. Hope this animation helps. I agree with the potential impact around 28-29 September. Need numerical models.
