⚖️ ₹37 Lakh Commercial Recovery Suit Filed Against Ricky’s Bar & Kitchen; Matter Before Thane Civil Court

A commercial recovery dispute involving Ricky’s Bar & Kitchen, Ricky Ramesh Kishnani, and Sanam Ramesh Kishnani has reached the Civil Court Senior Division, Thane. According to court records, a supplier has sought recovery of approximately ₹37 lakh allegedly arising from unpaid supply transactions. The matter is currently pending before the 8th Joint Civil Judge, Senior Division, Thane.

The claims form part of a civil recovery suit and remain subject to judicial scrutiny. No findings have been recorded by the court regarding liability, and the defendants are entitled to present their response, evidence, and legal defence. The case has also sparked discussion on credit risk management, vendor protection, and financial discipline in commercial transactions.

Road cutting activity on S.V. Road, Andheri West (From Mogra Pada till Amboli Signal), has raised concerns among local residents regarding a possible Ground+1 construction project. Citizens are seeking clarification from the BMC K/W Ward office on whether any official permission has been granted for the proposed construction. If approval has been issued, the relevant sanctioned plans and permissions should be made public to ensure transparency. In the absence of valid approvals, the authorities must immediately investigate the matter and take appropriate action against any unauthorized construction activity to prevent violations of municipal regulations and safeguard public interest.
"It has been observed that two shops were previously amalgamated into a single commercial unit. At present, the said unit is being illegally re-divided into two separate shops without any approved plans or requisite permissions from the competent authority. This unauthorized alteration is being carried out in violation of municipal regulations. I request the concerned authority to immediately conduct a site inspection, verify all approvals and permissions, issue a stop-work notice, and initiate strict legal action against all persons responsible for this unauthorized work."

At a time when residents of Versova are facing an acute water shortage and the BMC is taking action against unauthorized water pumps, questions are being raised about whether similar action is being taken against those allegedly involved in illegal water extraction and tanker operations.
