Honestly the client or user never cared about how I got there. They just wanted their problem solved. Their excitement and reactions were always the real payoff for me, not the code itself. Chasing that feeling again is basically why I still love this job.
Had this convo with friends and workmates. I'm more excited than ever, same joy that's kept me hooked for 10 years is still there. It was never the code, it was solving the user's problem. AI lets me focus fully on that part and still ship clean solutions.
How many AI tools have you installed on your machine right now?
At least 8 for me right now, probably more that I not know of 😅

@michaeldyrynda@calebporzio I don't believe this button is for updating the title or base branch. It pulls the latest commits from the base branch so your PR is up to date.
@danjharrin It's crazy because, at least from my experience, no one is hiring strictly based on what is on your GitHub profile anyway. But I guess if you're desperate you'll try anything and everything to appear different in the application process.
@DanHollick I was literally trying to find your original post the other day, I remember seeing it after you first had it installed. ChatGPT was no help and neither was X search😅
I'm hoping to get Little Green Rooms to install my new office, they look wonderful!
@muwatmis@FrameworkPuter@Luacyntia@mweinbach I never commented on how much RAM is enough. I simply explained the reason for the price disparity. The Macbook Neo ships with 8GB or RAM. This thread compares the Framework 12 against the MacBook Neo.
@muwatmis@FrameworkPuter@Luacyntia@mweinbach The thing that drives the price of your configuration up is the 16GB DDR5.
Their pricing is pretty on par with the budget laptop world otherwise.
@EnolaJon@pizzaboy@monzo Are you in their Beta program? Also worth checking to see if there is a toggle for it in settings under Monzo Labs.
Otherwise I'm probably going to go with the A/B test theory and slow rollout
@EnolaJon@monzo iOS or Android? On Android I'm on version 7.30.0 with no updates showing.
They could be running an A/B test to see how the new changes perform before rolling it out to everyone😅
@ColdShalamov@jeffwang I may be misunderstanding but your use case seems to be what ACP is built for. Coding agents, including Devin Desktop can still talk to an IDE that supports ACP (I personally use @zeddotdev). Run Devin alongside it or within the IDE and continue using SWR 1.6 to explain the code
Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
@thdxr I already have a similar setup, so I would love official support. Currently I have a systemd service running the server on boot and my opencode alias attaches by default. All available on my Tailnet
@babacarcissedia How likely are they to need a new device? As a consumer, lifetime subscriptions are great but as a business they can sometimes do more harm than good to revenue.
