🧠Announcing: Neural computations without borders🧠
Many students & postdocs are stuck due to visa or funding issues. To help in a small way, I will mentor ~ten students/postdocs anywhere, in neural computation, or neuro-AI projects, leading to publication/s. Email/dm/share.
Please RT. The Franks Lab at Duke U. is hiring a neuroscience tech! We study perception, learning & decision-making using the mouse olfactory system. Learn more here: https://t.co/F5vMxx0gO9.

Come work with us at @SWC_Neuro! Multiple postdoc positions (both theory & experiment) are available in my group, to study computational & neural principles of statistical learning in the brain (of mice, rats, humans). Apply until March 18. Please share!

This work is finally published.. We recorded extracellular electrical activity
simultaneously from multiple regions of the social brain in mice
performing three distinct binary social discrimination tasks
(social contexts).. for more check the link

@zamakany Apparently this initiative asks for banning cosmetics animal testing, not biomedical or basic biological research. I think there is a big difference between the two, unless someone is called Coco Chanel (just kidding).
The Wagner lab at the University of Haifa is recruiting 2 Phd students to perform exciting work on social interactions in rodents with detailed behavioural analysis and modern imaging tools. Please spread the word!
Probably the most practical thing I made as a postdoc was BENTO: a gui for staring at neural data + behavior. (You can annotate & do event-triggered-averages, clustering, and PCA too.)
If you do imaging/FP and want to try it, I'm doing a tutorial on 11/30 https://t.co/YmOlM8pj5B
Saddened and shocked to hear that Gordon Shepherd passed away… He was a intellectual giant with kindness and humor. One of two books I secretly brought to Korean army was his Synaptic Organization.. He will be missed.
