@ThomasAlxDmy@elonmusk He’s talking about the goals beyond just AI. There are so many unlocks that increase the entire economic/productivity pie by orders of magnitude.
Also it’s not zero-sum, it’s not like a single company “wins” and then all others just shrivel and die.
@noahs_corner Worse IMO. You get into the flow and development of the show. Then Jyn Erso shows up in Rogue One, and everyone’s suddenly like “yeah, let’s follow this rando”. Just felt like a lot of development throughout Andor gets thrown out in Rogue One. Also Cassian’s character felt off.
Hey guys I just found out today that I’m famous.
Not internet famous. Not locally famous.
Diner famous.
And as far as I’m concerned, that’s the only kind that matters.
I stopped by my usual spot this afternoon. Before I could even sit down, the waitress pointed at the chalkboard by the door.
I looked up.
There it was.
My name.
On a breakfast plate.
Apparently, I’ve been ordering the same combination for so long that other regulars started asking for it by saying, “Whatever that guy always gets.”
So the owner decided to just put my name on it and add it to the menu.
Scrambled eggs. Crispy bacon. Home fries. Sourdough toast.
Named after me.
Permanently.
I’ve achieved nothing in this life that will truly outlast me. No trophies. No plaques. Nothing hanging on any wall anywhere, but at a little diner two blocks from my house, there’s a breakfast plate with my name on it.
And every morning, people are ordering me with their coffee.
I tipped extra today.
I’m so happy.
@hankgreen My takeaway is a bit more hope, where cancer can sometimes feel hopeless. Most people aren’t going to hyper-analyze the details for what parts do/don’t work. They just need a little hope that things could turn around, and that the future holds more possibilities than the present.
@noahkagan I was just thinking the other day that in this age of vibe coding, Appsumo seems like a great platform to distribute a lot of app ideas. I might be in the minority, but I used to love scouring through Appsumo categories to find some cool “diamond in the rough” deals.

Thank you, Mr. President @POTUS, for this opportunity. It will be an honor to serve my country under your leadership. I am also very grateful to @SecDuffy, who skillfully oversees @NASA alongside his many other responsibilities.
The support from the space-loving community has been overwhelming. I am not sure how I earned the trust of so many, but I will do everything I can to live up to those expectations.
To the innovators building the orbital economy, to the scientists pursuing breakthrough discoveries and to dreamers across the world eager for a return to the Moon and the grand journey beyond--these are the most exciting times since the dawn of the space age-- and I truly believe the future we have all been waiting for will soon become reality.
And to the best and brightest at NASA, and to all the commercial and international partners, we have an extraordinary responsibility--but the clock is running. The journey is never easy, but it is time to inspire the world once again to achieve the near-impossible--to undertake and accomplish big, bold endeavors in space...and when we do, we will make life better here at home and challenge the next generation to go even further.
NASA will never be a caretaker of history--but will forever make history.
Godspeed, President Donald J. Trump, and Godspeed NASA, as America leads the greatest adventure in human history 🇺🇸
