Why is the international community silently letting the 21st-century genocider, Ethiopia’s Abiy Ahmed Ali, under the cover of “transitional justice,” investigate his and his allies' war crimes and crimes against humanity they committed on the people of Tigray that killed more than a million Tigrayans? Is it not analogous to Russian Putin investigating the alleged war crimes committed by his soldiers in Ukraine? Or is it different from the Nazis investigating the Holocaust? Or the Hutus investigating the Rwandan genocide, those who killed 60–70% of the Tutsi population? Mainly, why is the West so cagey to determine the Tigray genocide?

News: Gardula zone in Southern #Ethiopia region condemns kidnapping of 285 laborers in #Amhara region, urge their safe return

The Gardula Zone council in Southern Ethiopia region has condemned the kidnapping of 285 laborers by armed groups in the Amhara region while they were traveling to work on clearing forests for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project.
In a statement, Gardula Zone Council Chairman Birhanu Kunalo said, "The laborers were innocent citizens who were simply traveling to contribute their labor towards the development of the crucial Renaissance Dam project." He added that workers have "the right to work and generate wealth in any part of the country" and "do not have any specific mission" apart from labor employment.
The council called the spread of misinformation on social media platforms like #Facebook and #YouTube, suggesting the workers had different missions and were being held as captives, as "irresponsible claims" and "inappropriate." Video footage has circulated showing the daily laborers being guarded by #Fano militia fighters to unknown locations.
As we mark International Women’s Day on March 8, it is imperative to acknowledge and remember the countless Tigrayan women who have been betrayed, victimized, and forgotten by their own government and the international community. https://t.co/cF81jCVD5y
